Jane T. (Indiana),

In my experience with Celiac Sprue (body cannot tolerate wheat gluten, Which is in just about every product produced by man) I feel very ill and have extreme bloating in the abdomen. Everybody is affected differently, but if you cannot tolerate gluten, then it really limits your food choices at a normal market or restaurant.

There are a lot of websites for gluten problems and a ton of alternate food choices given. There are also online markets to purchase food products without gluten and most alternative food stores carry gluten free products including breads. You just have to adjust your palate to the new

tastes.

So if the test comes back positive check you local alternative market and just search for gluten free websites on any search engine (, etc.)

Tim, Thanks for the information. I am at the point (again) where I just

want to give all of my symptoms a name and start to do something to make me

feel better. I just have had no appetite for several weeks. That is just

not me. I am tired all the time and my joints ache. Which is just like

before I was diagnosed with AIH. These autoimmune diseases are all so

intertwined. I think there should be a medical specialty to study and treat

theses diseases. I see an internist, hepatoloigist, rheumatologist and a

gastroenterologist. Oh, I forgot, now I see a pain specialist for the joint

pain. All he did was give me Vicoden. I have been taking one at night to

help me sleep. I just feel pretty strung out right now. I guess I'll know

soon about the celiac sprue tho and can start eliminating the gluten.

Thanks for letting me rant a little. No one else can understand how

exasperating these diseases are. Thanks again, Jane

Hi , I started my 3rd challenge today, I ended my second one 2 weeks

early to start this one so I can get some free EAS supplements at the end. I

did not officially enter challenge 2. I still have 7 lbs to lose, it seems to

wanta stay where it is lol. I have noticed my measurements are increasing now

instead of decreasing, guess its all that hidden muscle. Well much success in

your challenge!

Hi, I am new, very new. All of this is like learning a new language.

One question for starters.

For a high functioning PDD (hyperlexia) how does a private school such as

Capital School pre K stack up against the public school? The private pre-k

offers me half a day with a 8 to 1 ratio and trained certified speech paths as

teachers. But they are very expensive and I'd have to sacrifice a lot to put him

in. But am very willing to do so if it is truly better than the ISD offers.

In the ISD evaluation my child wasn't even accepted. I guess they need that

room for children more in need of services. I have been told I could push for

it. I feel my child will fall through the cracks if I don't do something. He

needs help. I need help. I don't understand IEP's and ARD's I read the ISD

would have 50 percent of say so for the program for my child if he where in

such a thing. I don't like the sound of that. What does that mean exactly?

He's only 3 and is in speech once a week.

Thanks

Ali
