Guest guest
Hi there: yes, it usually starts by any stimulation, chewing, air on your face, touch sends sharp, jabbing pains along all or any of 3 branches of the TN nerve. they go from above eye to nose to top or bottom jawline, sorry to hear you are experiencing it...we are trying the DLPA which has been suggested for pain, the amino acid dl phenylalanine. will let everyone know if it works...they say it takes 7 days to go systemic but you can use white willow for short term and DLPA long term shawna Trigeminal NeuralgiaHi Everyone! Has anyone out there ever had any experience with TNalong with your MS? My husband has both and he has just started onLDN, but the TN is really painful...wondering whether to continue inhopes it will eventually help with the pain. It would be nice to knowsomeone who has experienced this. Started taking the DLP too inhopes it will help with pain. thanks"Hi there a. Can you describe just what TN symptoms that your husband has. I get some really strange painful episodes that I attribute to some sort of trigeminal nerve thing. Every so often I get a painful sensation down the right side of my face that goes from around the lower part of the nose to the lips. I am experiencing it right now and it is just painful to touch that area of my face. Hard to even wash my face. This normally lasts for about a month or so and then fades away. I have learned to live with these episodes and no, the LDN does nothing for that, that I know of. This nerve pain has actually started after I was taking the LDN and I'm assuming that it's just a normal part of MS? I hope that your husbands pain eases with time.
