Hi Anne. My name is , and welcome to the group. Everyone in the group

comes from various backgrounds. I am confident you will find those in the group

who can relate to your situation.

My hope for you is that you will find a few individuals within the group who are

single parents (I am not a parent) and can give you ideal advice.

Please feel free to follow conversations on here or to post (both, perhaps). We

look forward to your ideas and thoughts in here.

K.

Hi Anne! Welcome...

I hope you will keep coming back here. I have learned to appreciate this forum of friends and compassionate 'listeners'. They make a difference to me through this process of sharing my stuff and understanding others' stuff...it's a healthy gathering place for me.

In reading your post, I wondered if you have read (or heard of) the book Exposure Anxiety...I believe it is by Donna .

This book (from which I have only read excerpts) explores the inner world of the autistic (from her own perspective) and issues of anxiety that are unique to each of us on the spectrum. The author is very expressive and capable in her depiction of these inner conflicts of awareness and interrupted outward actions...

Perhaps some new perspective for you in what you're going through.

I am Asperger's (dx'd less than two years ago) AS hubby and 3 AS sons...we're an exciting and chaotically creative bunch!

Take care,

Sharon- AS and finding out how much more so every day ;P

Hello Sharon and thank you for the lovely welcome.

I tend to stay away from the expert books as my son does not appear to fit in

any category, I have also not many another person whose child became as extreme

as my boy has, it's a nightmare as he can flip behaviour wise in nano seconds

and that is tough to cope with as it is usually me at the end of his wrath.

I have a huge trouble with stress, I have no one to sound off to so I

internalise everything and my health suffers, eczema, asthma, arthritis, ha ha

looks like I am falling apart at the seams here but I do have an instinctive

fighting spirit so its not bad all the time expect for the total isolation and

the lonliness.

Even the thought of stepping outside the house brings on huge panic attacks so I

stopped trying, nagging etc.

I will find that book you mentioned as anything I learn that can possibly help

is a bonus, thank you.

Many thanks for writing.

Take care

Anne:)
