Guest guest
Hi, When I was Post op surgery, my surgeon gave me Prednisolone (small doses) for about 2 weeks post op.. It is mainly used to prevent brain swelling post op and perhaps even pre op It has other uses, esp. for acute asthma, however it can be used for various other medical reasons. I suffered shocking headaches and photophobia post op............worse then even before I went to theatre. I awoke from surgery screaming have I made a mistake having this surgery as I grabbed for my head, but the Doctors do have you well covered with analgesia for those first few days. My recovery was slow, however I have NEVER looked back since I turned that corner to 98% success. I am one of the lucky ones, despite my age at the time, Thank God. Bridget.
