Guest guest
Thank you, Ann! I thought so myself, but I'm not a RN, or MD. I have at lest 10 personal friends that are MD's and they themselves can't believe our condition and how much we have to go through for doctors to believe us! But it is my husband or myself they call when a friend or patients gets diagnose with a Chiari. We all have the same story of frustration and goodness the extreme leve of pain. But hopefully through our shared knowledge we can be the best support system around. I'm new to the groups and always wondered why I was so timid to join, now that I'm here I wish I had done it sooner. I look forward to learning various of other medical conditions that are in lull of ACM and or have different side effects because of it. I apologize ahead of time if my good intentions are misleading and do promise to give only factual information in the future! I look forward to getting to know everyone over the coming years and hope we can live, laugh, love and learn together! Sincerely Yours! I'd like to know exactly what the reading was when you were sitting....my guess is it's still too high. If they didn't do anything about a pressure that high, I wouldn't be going back to that particular ER any time soon. If you know what the numbers were sitting down/lying down, please let me know. (I was a cardiac ICU nurse for years) I think it's an autonomic issue with many of us. I have had hypertension since I was in my mid 20's and it wasn't typical when it was diagnosed. Chiari symptoms came 5 years later. I had a positive tilt table test and it all finally made sense. Please get that BP under control..it's dangerous when it's that high.
