Guest guest
I believe it was Dr. Zava who said you have to divide the oral by 10 to equal transdermal or intravaginal dosing. If this is the case, the 200 oral would equal approximately 20 mg of the other. L I'm getting a lot less by taking 200 mg orally than 50 mg vaginally. Guest guest
Yes remember when we tried to figure this out with the Wiley doses? > > > I believe it was Dr. Zava who said you have to divide the oral by 10 > to equal transdermal or intravaginal dosing. > > If this is the case, the 200 oral would equal approximately 20 mg of the > other. > > L > > In a message dated 6/9/2006 12:18:39 P.M. Guest guest
I believe that Crinone studies showed protection of the endometrium. Transdermal has shown to fail in protecting 32% of women. I posted that study a couple of months ago. Liz V got endometrial cancer while using P cream. Guest guest
but what's the difference in systemical apsorption between transdermal and vaginal...i see why vaginal protects endometrium better, cuz it's closer to it...but how much does the rest of the body gets? is it still 100mg oral = 10mg vaginal = 10mg transdermal...of is the proportion different...Valarie wrote: I believe that Crinone studies showed protection of the endometrium. Guest guest
I don't know, but based upon the studies I've read, I do not trust transdermal to protect the endometrium. Of course, this is a personal choice but I wouldn't play "you bet your life" with myself nor would I encourage anyone to use transdermal if using exogenous E. Guest guest
Val, i agree..i don't like transdermal P altogether...it's either oral or vaginal, it's just it would be great to calc the exact doses for vaginal?!Valarie wrote: I don't know, but based upon the studies I've read, I do not trust transdermal to protect the endometrium. Guest guest
Yes so why isn't the answer to ONLY take P vaginally? > " Charlotte N. Guest guest
because a lot of vaginal P is still systemically absorbed...and because it's similar to transdermal dosing, you get 10 times stronger effect than with oral. wrote: Yes so why isn't the answer to ONLY take P vaginally? > "Charlotte N." wrote: Hi ,> As I understand it: the rest of the body doesn't need P except for endometerium protection and during pregnancy to protect the baby, i.e. the body needs to be able to make it only for its specific times of need for endometrium (and maybe breasts?)as well as for new life.> Cheereo,> Charlotte> -------------- #define QUESTION ((bb) || !(bb)) - Shakespeare
