Do you mean cold like temperature? Or like you have a cold?

don't let the doc change your dosage based on TSH--just doesn't work. You

might need more meds.

seconds. SOUNDS STRANGE doesn't it..My temp isn't cold and I don't

feel cold all over...just a quick cold feeling in my neck.

Nope, never had that. I have a strep-throat-y feeling there most of

the time.

Kati-

To me, it sounds like I have cotton in my ear. I can hear, but the softer

sounds are muffled. I wonder if it sounds the same to everyone else with

C-Toma. Another thing I have noticed is that sometimes I have trouble

telling where a sound is coming from. It always sounds like it is on the

side where my hearing is better. Good luck with your report.

Tawny,

I used to have shakes in both hands after driving...I wouldn't be

able to pick up a pen or do anything. It did go away after a while

but it was very disconcerting when it was happening.

I've been symptom free for 1 year. I take tons of supplements and am not

going to wait until it trys to come back, I am going to keep my body

in fighting shape forever. I beleive this is key, you must boost the

immune system. It is your first line of defense and will help you with

so many things. If you keep just taking ABX then that does nothting to

support your ravaged war torn body. INstead of waiting for the next

attack, get pro-active now and build your body up.

Yes, , A agree with this 100% - that is what I do, and I NEVER will go

back to living the way I did before I had Lyme, by not eating right and not

taking care of my body and not exercising and not having the right

attitude, etc. Glen Wolfsen in New Jersey.

Hi Glenn,

How are you doing? GOod I hope. It is too bad that most people have to

get sick before they appreciate health. We take way to many things for

granted. I work alot with people who have MS, and so much is taken from

them, life becomes a real struggle. I know lyme can be that way also, we

must live everyday to the fullest, and take care of the only body we

have. My one friend just sold her house so she could buy all the

supplements she wanted and not be worried about the cost. She is living

in a motorhome at her parents house. In the last 4 months she has gone

crazy with body cleanses, chelation, glyconutrients, body work, and she

is eating a totally raw vegartarian diet. Her reward for all this is she

is standing up from her wheel chair for the first time in 1 year and

walking 20 steps. She was dx with MS, but now they say she has Lyme. She

does not care what they want to call it,, she has left the main stream

meds behind and is going for it with all she's got and doing great. Her

attitude is really great also. Most people are not even willing to give

up their donuts and coffee, let alone their house!

My lyme docs have told me, the goal is remission, but it can come back with

stress, illness, car wreck, etc..........The bugs are always there waiting

because we have cysts of the Bb that can hatch whenever.

Your question is a good one! I do not believe anyone in the world knows the

answer to that question. I am a 73 year old man who was infected in 1994.

I put myself in remission by:

eating no meat for one year

eating no sweets for about a year

taking massive amounts of vitamins and minerals

losing 30 pounds by eating less

exercising on a treadmill until my clothes were so wet it must have looked

as if I just jumped out of the river

I felt great probably in about 6 months.

In 1998 I had one nuerological symptom of nearly passing out.

In 1999 I began to feel faint just setting around the house-strange things

begin to happen to me. In Sept of 2001 I could hardly walk on my left leg.

My doctor diagnosed me with long term Lyme disease. He put me on amoxicilion

for 21 days and we thought I was cured.

Since that time I have learned a lot about Lyme disease.

I had no nothing doctors who put me on iv Rochepin for 28 days. I found

this Group and learned a lot. Learned about a LLMD, found one

Had severe nuerological problems and no prescription seemed to work for

me-perhaps the dose not enough.

I tried the Rife machine which I like a lot-went off all prescription

medicine and felt very well for 6 months-but then nuerological problems

returned.

Found a health care professional who had me take Biomune by Matol. This is

a great product You can be ok with this possible alone. Began taking Cat's

Claw (samento) and while on this product had my blood pressure go way too

low. Had to have a pacemaker-found out that many Lyme patients have to have a

pacemaker. Continue on with the Biomune, Samento and 2400 mg of Garlic.

Forgot to say I began taking garlic (Kyolic) and experienced herxing after

getting up to 800 MG.

I have been doing very well on the Biomune, Samento (6 drops a day) and my

garlic of 2400 mg per day.

I walk for one hour each day and ride my bike for 5 miles frequently.

I have started taking something new along with everything else. It is

wormwood and cloves, I have hopes this may produce a cure for chronic Lyme

disease. I currently take 12 capsules of cloves and 12 of wormwood.

All my best wishes!

True our doctor told us that too, guess I want to think positive, if my hubby is

symptom free for several years it is better than where were a year ago.

Hi ANgel,

Well I am known as the sugar Nazi at my church. The pastor calls me that

because I told him it was wrong to be feeding all these sick church

goers donuts and coffee on Sunday mornings. People just don't get it. I

am able to work with a few, but people that are older and set in their

ways are pretty hard to reach. The other problem is that 50 years ago

you could eat donuts and coffee and be fine. Today with green

harvesting, toxic air and water, pesticides, hormone and antibiotics in

the foods, processed foods, perservatives, over vaccination, are immune

systems are slowly being depleted. It will take a few more years, (like

maybe 10) for people to start waking up and realizing they have to take

some serious action with their diets and lifestyles if they want to

survive. Back when I first started to get sick, I drank 2 cups of coffee

in am, a six pak of pepsi during day, and some wine at nite, water never

touched my lips. I had chips and brownies for snacks and frozen entree

for dinner. I was never sick one day in my life, not even with the flu

or a simple cold until I was 40. I used to make fun of sick people,

thought they were whimps. I try to have patience with people who eat

like that but if they don't listen I move on to someone who will,

someone who I can actually help. I think for those of us who had to

suffer we to get rather carzed about things that we are now able to see.

Hi ANgel,

It is really sad when you reach out to help someone and they think you

are nuts because you think food has power to heal. It is especially hard

when it is someone you love. My friend with the MS/Lyme is

shouting from the rooftops right now. She is in many MS forums and

everyone is hearing about raw foods diet, cleanses and Glyconturients.

SHe has been educating me on raw food, and now I realize it does not

mean you have to eat raw brocoli and carrots every day. She makes the

most interesting foods all without cooking, sometimes using a dehydrator

for drying things like corn chips made with corn and carrots. Most of us

do not have the time to go this far with eating healthy, but she is an

inspiration to me to try a little harder. (sniff, sniff,) whats that

cooking, oops, spaghetti, definatley not on the list of most healthy,

but the one thing I will not give up. Tonite when I am not sleeping well

I will curse it.Take care,

Hi Gine:

I am doing MUCH better, and in a very slow and patient process,

improving a little all the time. It is now basically a process of

continuing with the CS (as much a day as I think I need depending on how I

feel) and preventative dose of both one homeopathic and one herbal for

Lyme. The Homeopathic consists of: Ledum pal. 200c; Lyme Nosode 12x, 30x,

60x; Lyme D Nosode 30x, 60x, 200x; Shark Cartilage 12x & Belladonna 12X,

etc. - and the Herbal is Organis Dipsacus Sylvestis. This in combination

with all raw vegetables, fruit, and rice protein, and raw almond butter or

raw tabini, lots of raw almonds, B12, pure virgin(cold pressed) olive oil,

apple cider vinegar, flaxseed oil and water basically. For bread it is

either brown rice bread of Ezekiel bread. I also do LOTS of walking every

day (no matter how I feel) and I DO NOT entertain negative thoughts and I

depend totally (as much as my ego lets me) on the loving and healing

energies of the Cosmos. I also try to love other people and am now getting

back into playing the piano and musical theatre and giving private piano

lessons, as well as continuing to write lots of poetry and working on

getting more published. I am so happy to hear from YOU and ALWAYS love

reading what you have to write.

>It is too bad that most people have to

I agree now very much with this - I know I LEARNED this quickly and want to

ADVISE everyone to life fully and honor their bodies, hearts, minds and

spirit - and that we are a UNITY OF THESE CENTERS AND WE SHOULD NOT DIVIDE

OUR SELVES UP INTO PIECES!

I remember well how my wife slowly had all the meaningful things in her

life taken away by MS (which my Dr. was quite sure was Lyme).

Hi Angel,

Does it actually taste like spaghetti? I have been afraid to try it, not

that it would be a great loss of money, just ruin the meal. My family is

very hard to please and they will never forgive me for taking aways all

of their favorite foods. They actually have gotten used to eating

healthy now, but at first there was a lot of complaining. I will check

it out. I actually slept good last nite which is weird because the last

2 times I had spaghetti I felt bad, I actually thought maybe it was the

sauce not the noodles?? who knows.

Hi Glen,

Glad to hear the steps you are taking are toward health, that is what

is most important, not how fast we get there. Someone else I was just

talking to is taking LEdum, she has heard good things from others about

it, haven;t heard much talk about it from anyone else. One thing I

wanted to ask is do you soak your almonds. I was just taught about this

something about the enzymes not being released, and therefore hard to

digest without soaking them. I started doing it and I like them alot

better that way. That is great you are getting back into the piano and

music, that can be so healing. ALso you write great poetry so keep that

up, it can really bless alot of people and yourself. Sounds like overall

you are better then the first time I talked with you. Be well, God

Thanks :

I just call my Dr. about the almonds . . according to him if you

are just eating them raw as I do, it doesn't make any difference, do it

either way - BUT if you are making your own almond milk, then soak them

over night to release the enzymes before making the milk. I also know

Ledum has been helpful. I could also be taking the homeopathic/herbal for

parasites -but I am not right now. I actually believe I am dealing mostly

with protozoa/parasites now with only left over damage from Lyme. Thank

you again for writing. Glen from New Jerser.

Hi Everyone,

I just read s post on which fillers to use. I noticed that

she wrote her pharmacist is using pure naltrexone. What happens if the

pharmacy is using an already made up naltrexone tablet? Would it not

be weaker than pure naltrexone being compounded? You would be working

with a tablet thats already been made up with fillers, so weight would

be the same but it would contain more filler. I never did ask this

question. I was more worried about having the right fillers. They did

use calcium carbonate but changed to advicel when I asked.
