Dear W & R Friends:

You may want to check out this forwarded email.

Subject: " Info on Yahoo and users' privacy " -- Off Topic

For those of you concerned with SECURITY, you might

want to " opt out " of Yahoo's " research " . Here's how....

Just me... Jan

Dear Friends,

Yahoo is now using something called " Web Beacons " to

track Yahoo Group users around the net and see what

you're doing and where you are going - similar to cookies.

Take a look at their updated privacy statement:

http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/pixels/details.html

About half-way down the page, in the section

" Outside the Yahoo! Network " , you'll see a little

" CLICK HERE " link that will let you " opt-out " of their

new method of snooping. I strongly recommend that

you DO THIS if you do not want to be tracked.

Once you have clicked that " click here " link, you are

opted out. Notice the " Success " message at the top

of the NEXT page. Be careful because on that page

there is a " Cancel Opt-out " button that, if clicked,

will **undo** the opt-out feature you just wanted.

So... do NOT click the " Cancel Opt-out " feature if you

actually want to Opt-Out.

Feel free to forward this to other groups.

This is something NEW, not the regular stuff where you

just check the boxes.

Hi Keven:

Glad you liked that Yahoo post about security and

opting-out feature. Guess I have to be in marketing

or advertising to really appreciate their reasons

behind snooping/tracking on what sites I visit and

who I send messages to et al.

I'm okay, just okay. Lots of challenges right now.

Just me.. Jan

Often, we all do Jan...

We're all here to help one-another juggle, the best we can!

Kev
