Yes, they should, but I don’t think that all docs know about the lidocane

patch for shingles…

FYI – The lidocane patches also work great for joint pain (only hitch is you

can use them for 12 hours a day)….. I use them on my back…..

The pain is awful… The first time I had them, it was on my face, lip and up my

nose (almost in my eye)..

We didn’t know what it was (and it was on my birthday no less…. I just

turned 36, was on the top of the world then at work…. Was a Vice President,

didn’t know I had stills, but knew something was wrong..

I woke up with my lip so big I thought it was a dental problem, but by lunch,

the blisters started to show and I was just sitting on the couch crying… It

was horrible.

My heart goes out to both of you right now…

My husband made me drink shots of something – I just remember it tasting awful

as I wasn’t ever much of a drinker, the sad part is, now I can’t even have a

glass of Wine!!!

Oh well ---- We are all fighters and I do really believe that we all learn more

from this battle and these trials than we would ever think we would.

I have had shingles four times. It is very painful - so sorry you are both

fighting them now. One thing that helps the pain

Is Lidocane patches (it is a prescription). Of course it depends were the

breakout is. (I couldn't use them when I had it on

My face, but when I had it on my back, it helped a lot.

Just a suggestion.
