physical illness - mental illness

Hello,

I believe this is my first post here. I don't have time to write a

long intro right now, but I wanted to put a question out there. Are

there other people that have serious physical illness related to

mental illness?

I read somewhere that 85% of mental illness has a physical basis. I

am very ill physically. I have a real problem speaking to dr.s.

basically I am realising that my mother is borderline personality and

multiple personality, she has controlled my life ( & all out family

dynamics) for many many years and had me locked up in mental wards

many many times. I am definitely sick, but because I am traumatised,

it is very hard for me to speak up for myself. I think I will

finally be going into a trauma program where I can get some help.

but I definitely have had illness since I was 8 years old, whenever

I told my mother, she would yell at me. I think what I have is some

systemic klebsiella/staph infection & /or parasites. This is also

very hard to get treated for when the dr.s dismiss you as insane.

and, ulitmatley, I am so mentally messed up at this point, i have

internalised all this and tend to dismiss myself and live a lie,

pretending that I am okay, when really I am physically falling apart

and find it hard to manage much of anything. well, that's all i can

say for now.
