Hello All,

I haven't written in awhile but I have been reading and tried to keep up with

everyone's situation. I just haven't been posting, replying much. I have been

keeping everyone in my prayers though! Wanted you all to know that. I need

some ideas and I know this group has been through just about everything so you

are the ones to turn to!

I had my gallbladder removed in February without complications, I thought:) My

upper belly pain continued and was sore to touch which I thought was due to

muscles being moved around during the surgery or just general surgical

procedure.

By May/June, I figured my body was responding well to this change. I read up on

Post-Cholestectomy Syndrome and how to deal with it. By July, I ended up in our

Urgent care clinic after a severe bout with abdominal pain after dinner and they

though it was a kidney stone. Of course, CT scan showed no abnormalities. . .

nothing, good to go:) So, I went home with " stone must have passed " here's some

Toradol, just rest and you will be okay.

Back to the doc that next week, wasn't better. My PCP is great and stated that

if it was kidney stone it should have been better by now. She thought maybe an

ulcer. I already battle with IBS so ulcer wasn't too far from a possible

reality. The month of August I took generic Prilosec and pain continues,

sometimes with nausea and sometimes constipation, and diarrhea. So, I have a

cocktail of Prilosec and Carafate (coats the stomach before food) and Bentyl for

IBS and vegetable laxative for constipation that occurs if/when Bentyl is taken

which I can't determine when that will happen so laxative every night.

This is getting long but lots to say so that you get the whole picture, I

apologize. The 2nd weekend of Sept (9-13) flew to my parents to visit which had

been scheduled for several months, the airport scanners picked up something in

my right upper quandrant area that was causing them to suspect something (both

the new body scanner and regular medical detectors). They let me go but still

that's weird! Told the doctor but he didn't seemed concerned. I still am.

That's just too odd. . . .

Okay, so today, endoscopy done and lo and behold. . Nothing found, Unremarkable.

Hmmmm. . . so what now? What do I do, where do I go from here? I don't really

even think they know.

He isn't a gastroenterologist. He is a vascular surgeon/general surgeon guy.

Very nice, very smart and very religous which is nice but I just don't know what

to do. I asked about if this might be nerve related from Chiari or Tethered

Cord because it is very " right " and goes downard as well as toward my back but

he doesn't think so.

Help any advice I would love it.

Thanks,

Holmes
