Think i ought to write a book on exercise for the brain damaged and

adhd? You think they'd catch on the reason the adhd crowd is always

boucing off the walls is that they need some exercise

You'd have a big audience, that's for sure!! LOL

Pity you can't patent it so noone else can write it and say they came up with the idea first.

and all without the aid of a safety helmet.

My coordination was so bad after taking Paxil that when I tried to lift weights (lying on my back and using 8 pound dumb-bells) I nearly gave myself a concussion several times trying to raise my arms so they weren't flapping all over. I really did make jokes about how the brain injured SHOULD wear a helmet when doing those kinds of exercises. LOL

I don't walk any 4.5 mi an hour. I slipslide and stumble my way from

room to room forgetting things. so if i need three items from the

kitchen i have to go to the kitchen three times instead of the normal

one time to get all three things. I rarely sit for more than about 30

seconds as i always have everything in the other end of the house. Does

this qualify as exercise? I guess it must. I've taken off about 60 lbs.

Janet...maybe you should just write humor. Humor for the brain-damaged?

That way nobody would be offended, LOL.

You have me in tears here, reading all your exercise posts.

Dear ,

You said:

<<I am new, again, I am wondering if those people who

have lower weight are on the antidepressant or off.>>

** Those who posted of weight loss are all off any psychotropic drugs

they were on.

You said:

<<Also, are the ones that are able to do exercise such

as walking fast are on or off.>>

** Those reporting here of this are off. I've sen people who can

exercise while on. Those who struggle to do so while taking the drug(s) are

those who are already exhibiting the damage done by the drugs.

You said:

<<And, the ones stumbling are on or off. >>

** Janet is off all drugs after almost 15 years of usage though she

hasn't been off for long (under a year).

You said:

<<ps-I used to walk almost 4 miles on the treadmill last

year. Don't know now. I also haven't taken an

Effexor since let see today is sat. well it was thurs

at 8:00 am? I should write this down.

I am scared that if I don't take one pretty soon my

head will start hurting and the cloud is there right

now but yesterday I had so much energy that I didn't

fall asleep til after 2 am. Maybe the cloud is from

lack of sleep.>>

** Are you saying you are abruptly stopping Effexor? I cannot emphasize

how important it is that you don't do that. Your recovery will more than

likely extend into years if you do this without slowly reducing the drug.

So many people have done this and years later still have traces of the

damage left over. You don't have to guess at it. Those who walked this

path before you have the answers for you.

The only safe way to get off Effexor is to slowly decrease it allowing

your brain an opportunity to find a way to function properly again after

being altered by the drugs. If you don't do this, your brain chemistry will

be left in chaos. We have a number of members who are now on disability

because of taking this route.

I'm hoping some members will speak up about this in response to your post.

Regards,

market so i can wander aimlessly up there for a change! LOL. janet
