hi there, My mother in law has MS, Diagnosed around 18months ago. She has problems walking and nubness all over, different places, different days. She has discussed LDN with her Doctor and he is really unwilling to prescribe LDN as he doesn't know that much about it and seems not to want to know about it. the reactions that she is having against steroidal treatment are not acceptable. The chemist at Boots in our local town would like to know of a supplier that she could get LDN from, but her only reservasion was getting the higher dose and cutting it into 3.5 - 4.5mg dosages. would it be possible to link me to the pharmasutical company that you spoke about in your mail attached so that I can attempt to take this further. Thanks

I found out 2 compounding pharmacy that will make Low Dose Nalrexone into a capsule from the pure naltrexone powder (one store will even combine acidophilus with it as the filler) the charge is around $0.90 per tablet + frieght. The only thing I now need to do is find a GP that will write a prescription for it (doing that tommorrow). The Pharmacist is willing to discuss the drug in low dose form with a GP. Also Naltrexone in a high dose form requires an authority. But the pharmacists inform me that in a low dose form naltrexone does not require an authority on a normal presciption. Send me an e-mail for any more info. > > > Where can I get LDN in Australia I cant get my gp to give me a> >

I guess even though you are in the UK your mother in law must be out

here. The place I have found best for LDN is The Green Dispensary in

Adelaide. There are many reasons for this which I can explain if

required but email there - : jmitchell@...

<mailto:jmitchell@...>

Hope that helps.

PS I get my LDN from there even though I live almost 1000km away.

,

I strongly recommend at least starting with The Green Dispensary in

Adelaide (http://www.greendispensary.com/) because they have a long and

very good history of compounding LDN. If you go elsewhere you run the

risks described on http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/comp_pharm.htm

I started with a compounding pharmacy here in Melbourne back in 2004 but

they had little or no experience with LDN, only used crushed tablets

instead of pure naltrexone powder and were expensive. Found out about

The Green Dispensary through someone on here after I'd had my second

batch made up locally and have been using them ever since. At the time

they were just over half the price of the local place plus already had a

good reputation with LDN. They use the pure powder, offer a variety of

fillers (I use acidophilus which costs me $5 extra per batch) and will

make up any size you want. Their knowledge and service is excellent and

if you are in a hurry for it they'll express post it ($8.50 instead of

the usual $5 postage). I once paid over the phone by credit card at 5pm

one evening and by mid morning next day the capsules were in my hands!

Start with them unless you find a reliable local place then once you

know how their LDN is working maybe then change to someone local and see

if there's any difference. If it seems to stop working change back ASAP!

Give or Antony (not ) Condina there a ring and talk

to them.

Cheers,

there is 1 compounding chemist in Sydney that has the equipment to make

LDN but I don't know the name.

Greens in Adelaide and the 1 in Sydney are the only 2 compounding Pharmacies in

Aus that have a special machine to use the naltrexone powder and dispense it in

the tiny doses.

Maybe do a google search or phone a couple and ask them how they make LDN.

Be careful because I know a few people who used different compounding chemists

in the Brisbane area but then emailed me asking for Greens info because they

were not happy with the local ones.

I'm happy with Greens supply, very prompt and their product is good but it would

be good to have another supplier.

Hi ,

I also am in Sydney, but use Greens Pharmacy in SA. I agree with and his

reasons for using Greens. It's not too inconvenient as most of it can be done

by phone, you just have to send over your prescription and it all comes by mail

in a short time. I also use Acidophillus as the filler as we (husband and

myself) have had issues with other fillers and capsules compounded from crushed

tablets. Wish you all the best with this.
