Guest guest
Am I hearing no common sense, OR fear that the test would make the book unpublishable? Amazing! So we are all THE TEST! We will go down in history, one way or the other. > > > > I think I recall reading the same info in the Schwarzbein books, > too, > > but just remember it in more detail from Wiley because of some > things > > she said that I found interesting. Guest guest
Boy oh boy, this insulin resistance is serious s***t. I don't like it. ALL of my fat is in my middle. It's disgusting. You can't wear anything. I have no waistline but blubber hanging over. I was always a skinny little girl and mortified at what people looked like that had love handles! I'm being punished now for making fun! I guess no matter how good you are with supplements, menopause really kills our bodies. It's frightening. So are you taking anything to control your blood sugar too? I'm not taking enough of it because I'm still craving sweets. I need to get better with the amounts. And we need to keep up our E levels that's for sure. But when I feel good, then I start bleeding! Damned uterus and fibroids! > > You are right, I did misunderstand or misread. Guest guest
No, I don't have insulin resistance and don't have cravings. In fact when I have tried specific supplements, one formula in particular, designed to control cravings and the insulin response, it gave me really bad low blood sugar, so I don't need them, apparently. I am a non-secretor according to blood type theory and a test I took (I am blood type A, but non-secretors are found among all blood types) and that means I am in a minority of the population that, according to the blood type doctor, D'Dadamo, has very fragile health. I tend to believe his theory has a lot of truth, although not total truth, LOL (what does?!), in part because his theory about non- secretors, which he writes about a lot in his books, fits me SO WELL!! It was like having someone tell me why I have had to work so hard all my life at taking care of my health. I think good menopausal supplement programs and diet and/or Chinese medicine can work well for a lot of women, who generally are secretors. But non-secretors like me are often the ones for whom a program that works for everyone else doesn't work! That is the story of my life! Or I need to do more, use more, stay on something longer for results, etc. etc., compared to 'normal' folks, meaning the 80- 90% of humans who are secretors. I worried about this problem, where things don't work well for me when they do for others, when it came to doing the hormone program Dr. Morton has me on, but so far so good. I DO feel STRONGLY that if it weren't for my level of health, based on hard work and discipline and constant learning, going into the hormone program, I wouldn't have had the good results I have had with it so far. And I feel I still am in the early stages. Let's see what a year or two years from now is like.... And I do know that women who aren't healthy going into menopause are going to have problems with it, although that doesn't mean they can't use menopause as a good excuse to start really taking charge of their health. But you need good people helping you, you cannot do it alone, we all need a 'team,' people we can trust, even if they don't always agree with each other. This list really is helpful in this regard too! We are so lucky to have each other on this list. In rhythmicliving , " " wrote: > > Boy oh boy, this insulin resistance is serious s***t.
