Hi All,

Jaecob is ONE today - and couldn't care less! What an amazing eight and

a half months it has been for us since he arrived. Talk about not

having a clue about anything when we were first asked if we would take

on a little man with a cleft palate and had a tube poking out his

stomach! Wow! It's really been awesome, something akin to a whirlwind

as you all know - appointments, visits, hospitalisations, legal matters,

missing sleep, disruptions, emergencies, et al.

I did up a data base for Robyn to help her keep track of all the

people/organisations and their details, that she was having to deal

with. Currently there are 54 on the list and still growing!

Needless to say we have learnt so much. We are especially grateful to

all of you in Chargeland that have contributed by way of your advice,

experience, and expertise. Without you Jaecob's prognosis would surely

have been for the worse. Thank you so very much. I trust we can

contribute to the betterment of other young Chargers as time goes on, as

you have done for us.

Right now he's in better shape than he has been for some time. He is

beginning to put on weight again after a rough time having dropped to

well under the 3 percentile line on the chart. We thank God for him and

for the immense joy Jaecob has been, and is to us. We love both God

and Jaecob dearly.

God bless you all,

Bruce and Robyn, (21), Ruth (19)

Christchurch, NZ.

P.S. In case you thought Robyn is imaginary here she is at last:

Hi Everyone,

I actually thought I had finished making 1 year old birthday cakes

(at least until the grandchildren arrived which will be some time away)

but !!!!!! what a geat excuse to have some fun again. It doesn't

matter that he probably won't even be able to see it properly, or even

taste it, we are just so thankful that we have Jaecob with us.

Special thanks to all the Moms (Mums to us down under) out there who

have been a real source of blessing to us. I don't really get the time

to read everything, but Bruce is always pushing something under my nose

and I do laugh and cry with you all as you go through the daily

challenges we all face. Maybe sometime we will meet in person with our

very special little

blessings.

I do know that I wouldn't have swapped these last months for anything

(despite the extra gey hairs I am sure I have got!!!!)

Trusting you all have a happy day and special love from Jaecob to all

his little friends out there.

Robyn.
