Guest guest
Conscience is something we are all born with. But, and a big but, it has to be trained properly. That is partly where our parents began teaching us. Some people seem to have no conscience, or are so mentally ill, or wicked, that their conscience is totally distorted in a bad way. That is a whole set of different circumstance from the average person. But, for us we have a conscience. Guilt is part of it, helping us to walk according to the way we choose to train our conscience. But, guilt can get out of hand, and beat us half to death, and literally make us sick. I have had my share of suffering guilt. As I have become older I am learning that guilt doesn't need to beat me. I tell myself that I either made a mistake, and need to go on, let it pass by forgiving myself. Or that it is out of my hands to do everything more than I did. I tried when and where I could with the knowledge I had, and it wasn't perfect, but it was the best I could do, and forgive myself. This is the choices we decide to make about guilt. We are glad we have a conscience that is well trained, but we want to continue controlling it. Not let it beat us. It is not there for that purpose. The conscience with built in guilt is to point us to another direction and keep us going on the path in which we have trained it. Go on the good path, and forgive yourself for whatever reason. Choose to get rid of access guilt over things in which you can't control. Love a bunch, and that means yourself too, Imogene
