My thoughts also. Why use an anti-inflamatory like EPO when you don't know the CAUSE of the inflammation? If there is an biochemical imbalance in the breast/hormone metabolism which causes bromide buildup, wouldn't it better to address the imbalance? Guest guest
I'm a little confused as to what you ladies are doing with sore breasts. If we are getting pain in our breasts, then does this mean that we are using too much P and then we should be lowering our dose of P instead of applying iodine or primrose oil to them to make the pain go away? Are we sure that masking the pain is such a good idea? In other words, are we supposed to be plowing through the pain? > > > > daily dose for several months. Guest guest
Righto. I don't think we are supposed to walk around with hardened- painless breasts!! > > > > My thoughts also. Guest guest
I am afraid to take less than 50 mg vaginal P or 200 mg oral P for 10 days/month. I get the very sore breasts on about Day 5. These induced bleeds are harder for me than regular periods were. I get back ache, painful joints, painful breasts and cramps now. Rarely had them when I was cycling normally. Guest guest
Val, How much E do you take? Maybe if you cut back on the E you may be able to skip the P once in a while. Guest guest
I used to use 1.5 mg of Estrogel. That only gave me an E2 of 60. Now I use 2.25 mg. I haven't gotten tested on that. I'm amazed how much bleed I get on that dose. Maybe I'm still shedding the hyperplasia build up? I need an ultrasound. If it is okay, I'm going to move to every three months for P. I had to up my thyroid (T4) when I upped my E. I went from 88 mcg to 100 mcg. At first I tried doubling my E to 3 mg. Got to where I couldn't drag my rear around. That's when it dawned on my that increased E requires increased thyroid. When I was on .625 mg Premarin, I was taking 125 mcg of T4. I can live with that. Lynn

I'm on 1 grain a day. If the thyroid is sucking up the iodine cause it's not doing great maybe that's a key. Lynn
Guest guest
The same happens to me when I take too much E I get sluggish. So I only take .75 vivelle patch now and about 1-2 mg E transdermal. Have you ever tested for Celiac and your Vit D levels. Even when you are taking calcium if you don't have high enough D you won't absorb the calcium. Both are needed for proper endocrine funtion. I think Vit D is a lot more important than we realize and as we age we either don't make it as easilly or we don't spend enough time outdoors to make the amounts we need. I'm sure I'm dealing with gluten problem so no need to spend money for that test. I'm also using around 1 tablespoon of high vitamin cod liver oil a day (blue ice brand)...although I skip some days. I've got the paperwork for a vit D test and just need to have the blood drawn. I'm going to order some vivell dots and give them a try. Guest guest
If your thyroid isn't working, increased E will make you sluggish. They doesn't mean you don't use E; it means you need more thyroid. I've had a Vit D test and it was fine. I asked for a Celiac test but doc forgot it. I really don't have any Celiac symptoms. Guest guest
Same here Val, the induced P cycles are super hard compared to even a bad natural P cycle for me. I checked my symptom list during one oral round and I had itchy body, night wakes, night sweats, edema to the waist, major irritation issues (as in Don't say a word to me!), anger, deep despair, dissociation, bad thoughts, hair loss, clumsiness.... general wickedness. Have you ever tried sublingual P? This is my next step.
