Guest guest
, how long after you went through menopause did you get your period back, and how long after going on BHRT ? How much (oral or transdermal) E and P have you been taking since being on them ? (I haven't had much time to read posts in the last 4 weeks and had to delete a lot to make space for new ones...) Thanks, Charlotte ------------- You wrote: ..Even when I wasn't having periods, if I went to long with any, I didn't have a certain type of energy. A couple of days of my multi-vitamin version WITH iron instead of the one without iron and I felt like a new person, so I knew I needed the iron. Plus now I am giving blood for these hormone blood tests too! So with having periods again and those tests, I take iron every day again! Guest guest
For one year, I had a period about every three to four months. My last was during my 53rd birthday week in 2004. I started the hormone therapy the new moon Dec. 30, 2005, almost exactly two years later. I started out with standard Wiley but as soon as I started the P that first month, due to my symptoms, my doctor had me reduce it. It has been lowered ever since. I had a period the very first cycle, and all have lasted six or seven days, with a couple longer than that. But that seems to be normalized now, at least my last one, the fourth one, was less than seven days again, six days I think it was. Right now, I am doing standard Wiley estrogen from the Downtown Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in Santa Barbara, the paperwork says it is Wiley protocol hormones. And I am doing 50% less than the standard amount of the P. Re: Re: after menopause periods , how long after you went through menopause did you get your period back, and how long after going on BHRT ? Guest guest
I am trusting my doctor on this matter right now and have written about all of that at length in previous emails on this list. I appreciate your concern and am paying attention to what is being said, but am not yet ready to start over-riding my doctor and staff in this matter. Thanks!
