I am considering this an option to research. Eileen
Guest guest
Val -- do you mean that vaginal P probably doesn't protect the breasts? I was wondering the same thing myself. Why would you want to go back to 50mg of P for 10 days every 3 months when you tried that previously and got a 13 stripe?? I think you should stick to your present plan! > > I'm now using 50 mg vaginal P for 10 days a month. That produces a full 5 - > 7 day bleed. I need to get another ultrasound as its been over a year. Guest guest
I'm not convinced that P in any form protects the breasts. We know that there is a higher incidence of BC with progestins. What we don't know is what natural P does. Maybe it has the same effect? Mine get brutally sore by Day 5 of 10 days of vaginal P. Surely that is not good. Again, if I didn't have a uterus, I wouldn't touch the nasty stuff. Lee's (unproven) work has caused serious harm to unsuspecting women. Five days was not enough vaginal P and did not produce a full bleed. Ten days does. Therefore, ten days every three months should work. Guest guest
Didn't 10 days every 3 months for you cause hyperplasia? > > > > I'm now using 50 mg vaginal P for 10 days a month. Guest guest
So there is NOTHING to protect the breasts? > > I'm not convinced that P in any form protects the breasts. Guest guest
, Don't be paranoid yet. If you have no bleeding and you are keeping an eye on your thickness of your uterus, you will be fine. Relax and enjoy!!! Liz Well keep me posted. Right now I'm on my 4th day straight of no P and so far, no bleeding. I'm so paranoid about not using P. But I want to get to using it very rarely! Guest guest
Well I hate to say it, but I'm going back to being snoozy all day again. So get this, I " snuck " in a capsule yesterday morning. I wake up this morning and HELLO -- blood is back. Of course, I haven't taken my P all week. I just want to be able to go back to cycling again. I want to take P for least amount of time during the month - 10 days! You think I'm asking for trouble? > Well stranger things have happened. But since I've stopped taking > DHEA, I'm no longer bleeding. I think that was the cause! > > > > >
