Guest guest
Greetings Dragonslayers Hope this finds you all fighting the good fight when you have to, and being good to yourselves too. We have had some new members this last week or so. The newest fron San Paolo Brazil. He's only 22 and has only been diagnosed a short time. I know you will all welcome him with open arms, and insights into living with the dreaded dragon. Remember that when giving those insights, we can only speak from personal experience, and relating information that is just that, information, which may or may not be suspect, is not how we do things on the list. If there is proven, researched information, by all means use the link, and let our members do the research for themselves. As far as I know we have 2 Docs on our list, and they keep a very low profile. Please respect each other, and keep it real. Is anyone else counting the days down til the Conference in Vegas? May the Dragons miss you and the angels find you!!!! Warm regards Cat
Guest guest
Cat and every one  When you said this cat “Christmas, while a wonderful time of year, can be stressful. Try and remember to be kind to yourself, and be vigilant against depression! Don't overdo anything if you can! " I wanted to also add some thing.  Bob Hope (you youngsters may not know who he is so google him up if you have to) once said this abut Christmas and I find it so true in my own life and I am sure looking back that you will also. " When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things - not the great occasions - give off the greatest glow of happiness. "   It’s not the gifts that matter nor the wrappings but the time you share with friends and family that really matter. I know as I look back on Christmases of the past I always seam to remember more fondly the simple ones with the gifts that were hand made. Be it a blanket that I treasure to this day or some baked goods like Grandma's cookies. Or a Photo book with captions  my so called none talented mother made. That’s what I remember the most. so please do not stress over not having money to buy things as to most and yes even your kids its the ones you put your heart and soul into that will be remembered long after the rest have been forgotten. After all it’s not the number of gifts nor the size that will matter down the line but what went into them that they will recall. So if nothing other write the person a letter and tell them what they really mean to you. Open your heart to them and let them know what you feel about them. I know I still take out one I got years ago and read its worn pages. It still makes me warm in side and reminds me of that morning as I sat and read it for the first time.  Its the gifts like that that help you remember what is real and important in life and when your just sitting and thinking it is also them that you will recall with the fondest memories of all. I know this year in my house again there is no gifts but what we make or write. But I know it will be a good one all the same as and I are making Lefse. This is some thing my mom and dad made ever Christmas but now no one dose. So and I learned how to and now were making it for her as she will be here for Christmas. it will be her first time having Christmas with us so that will make it very special for us all as we will send a bunch home with her also to enjoy later. So just think and make it simple and have a wonderful time with it Hugs ya all   The Redneck Marty G.
