I'm sending this again as I think it got lost in the move over the weekend. I'm

sorry if I'm repeating it if it didn't!

Michele -- sounds like you have a very cooperative hospital there! Let us know

how the hearing test goes -- I don't know how long it is supposed to take before

a child starts hearing (or processing, or acknowledging) more sounds. Do you

really think the end to puking is linked to the tubes? That's interesting.

-- the coordinator at the ambulatory clinic also sounds like a good idea!

I'll try to find out if our hospital has one, although I hope someone would have

mentioned it already if there was one. Archie now weighs 14 lb 5 oz and is

around 65 cm tall -- sorry, don't know what that is in feet & inches. Actually,

his height isn't too far off what it should be according to his birth height (50

cm) -- it is his weight which is way down. Partly, I think this is because

although he eats fairly well, he uses up loads of energy as he is always

wriggling and playing, and always panting. Also, he just is

not into drinking milk. He had 40 mls from a bottle yesterday, which is a

record. He was not thirsty for the rest of the day, however.

Best wishes

, Simon and Archie x

Hope you have good luck with the ambulatory clinic, it sounds like

Archie and Kennedy are right around the same size, I think her last

height was around 65cm as well, and her weight at last check was just

about 14 pounds. Congratulations on the bottle with Archie. You are

lucky. Kennedy was doing marvelous with eating solids before July, and

she had her g tube fundo operation, we had to wait until LAST week to

try solids again, and she HATES it now, she purses her lips together,

pushes my hand out of the way and chokes when I try to feed her orally

now. It's heartbreaking for me as she was doing so well before the

surgery. I need some ideas before I will continue, I " m afraid she will

aspirate again, and I don't want that. Guess I " ll ask again at the next

ped. appt.

Good luck,

--
