You'll just need the Free T3, Free T4, and the antibodies tests.

Plus iron storage (ferritin), iodine, progesterone, 24hr urine for cortesol,

and I think that's all. Frees should be near the top or above the ranges,

Iron should not be low, nor iodine or progesterone, or cortesol.

Sam :)

Hey Sam - my iron was low due to all my bleeding. Does this

interfere with hormones or thyroid? Could be why I was a dragging

dead body for a few weeks. My ferritin was low on my last test.

Should I take some iron now? Or does it build up by itself again?

I had the anitbodies tests and 3 doc said that those were just fine.

Can they screw up on interpreting antibody tests? I mean that

seriously because I do know they can screw up the hormone and thy.

test results!

Yes, low ferritin is a problem with thyroid. I'm really not sure how

to address it other than to take iron supplements. But what sort of

iron, I don't know. How about eating a lot of really rare streak and

liver and onions and spinach? <wink>

Hey ,

I would be very cautious with buying iron supplements, it's easy to take a

bit too much, which is bad for the heart...

..

Cook and eat red beets and chard at least once/week - it's good for red

blood cells, too. You can also take a Tbsp of molasses several times/week.
