After many, many years of taking all the recommended meds , trying

this one or that one., we've finally hit on a combo that seems to

work very well for me. Cymbalta 60mg alone or even with Lyrica

still only was about 50 percent effective with the fibro. The

ambien didn't always work either. I stopped Lyrica 6 months ago

due to the weight gain. My doc recently added Remeron to my

cocktail and it seems to work very well with all the others. So at

bedtime I take, Cymbalta, Remeron, and ambien. Now I get a good

night sleep with the remeron that the ambien alone wasn't doing. It

helped with depression immensely, and it reduced the fibro pain.

Also I'm taking the Vit D. and that is helping with pain, and

fatigue... in fact I have so much energy I feel like I'm on 40-60mg

of pred each day!!! I'm taking the prescription strength VitD3

50,0000 IU once a week, for another 2 months after that, if my levels

are in optimum ranged I can take 1200IU per day.

LIke I discussed before in an earlier post the Vit D has really

helped my pain, bringing it from a daily range around 7-8 to 0.

However, I believe the remeron is also helping with that pain too.

It's just amazing to go a month with minimal pain. I've not felt

this way in 20 years! I'm finally leaving my house and doing

things. I'm going back to school in the Fall, possibly even this

summer. Got a suntan... first I've had in 3 years. I wish

that I had kept up with the research better over the last few years.

That's another goal of mine to get back to researching this disease

and other similar ones we tend to develop.

Take care everyone, and I'll be checking in more often and hopefully

with some new research

Cat, are you planning on going to the conference this year?
