Guest guest Posted November 11, 2005 Report Share Posted November 11, 2005 Hi, i went to see my childs doctor yesterday about getting her on LDN as a preventative for her getting addisons disease, diabetes and ovarian failure which will begin to affect her from puberty onwards , she already has hypoparathyroisism due to it. He refused to give it to her, im so dissapointed today . He did know about LDN and his basis on not prescribing it was because it has not been medically proven (ie no trials done)and he himself doesnt think it works at all except to make the patient feel better ( ie improved endorphin levels - natures own happy pills ) . He said he would look into it more and took my documentation on it but at this moment in time - no way - . He said that more research is being done into her condition and that everyting she will get is treatable - but i want to prevent her getting these other conditions. i dont know what to do now. She has a few years of grace hopefully so maybe if we could get trials up and running she could be on it just in time.
