Jeanie,

You see, that is just more info I haven't heard about. Should I asked to

see the nurse in GI () she's really nice. She isn't the

nutritionist that I have to see there, but when I can't see the doc I see

her. Our GI doc had to take over all of his partners patients, since he

no longer works in this community! With all that has happened to our

kids, I wouldn't put it past them to have an ulcer too! Although I don't

wish that on anyone! I don't know if I should be worried, (like I am)or

not.

Korey, it can't hurt to have it checked, but gets yellow stomach acid

from his tube a lot. It looks just like what comes up if he vomits. All I

know is that any stomach acid or contents that come up I am supposed to not

dump out, but put back in with the feeding so the electrolytes will stay in

balance. Does it just look like stomach acid to you? I thought bile was

green. But What do I know? , mom to (9) ChArGE

I don't know what bile looks like, but would really like to know what is

coming up. I remember at the hospital, when they showed me how to feed

her, I saw clear stuff, that smelled like vomit(dumb me got to close to

the tube and I could smell it really bad) and the nurse said it was the

acids in her belly. As for leaving the acids in there, I didn't know

that. I have on occation done that. But I won't anymore. What ever it

is, is just lookes like frest mustard from the bottle. I have a nurse

coming tomorrow to show me how to use this new pump we're getting. I'll

ask her about that yellow stuff.

Korey

I'll let ya know what happens

Yeah, ask her. Because my understanding is that you ARE supposed to leave

stuff in that comes out, or the electolytes will get out of balance.

maybe has had bile all along (7 years!) which I was told was just

stomach acid. He did have a pyloroplasty with his Gtube placement, so

maybe it backing up. I wonder how long a pyloroplasty lasts? you would

think the pylorus would tighten back up, eventually. Anyone know if this

is permanent?

Yes Hun sternum pain is normal especially if you have ever injured it. Mine has been broken before. I have had pains from time to time ever since. Then now the fall sure didn't help for once more it's very painful. I bruised the sterum bone and pulled the muscle from my collar bone all the way to bottom of sternum. So my pain is here to stay again for awhile again!

Here is my issue. My mind seems

Hi Robyn

I'm not sure if this will exactly help, but I try and remember that this is what

minds do, its one of the ways they work.

I make a mistake, say I forget something. My mind tells me 'I'm so stupid' Then

as I'm walking along, my mind finds a similar mistake that I made. ITs like for

a while afterwards, my mind will go off hunting in my memory banks for similar

events (and nearly always there are some!), such as when I left my card in the

shop, when I left my bag on the bus, when I lost my keys, and if I can remember

that this is what it does, and when it surfaces with a similar mistake tell it

its so clever for finding another comparable instance, it helps take the 'sting'

out of it a little

So if I think of going to a particular place, I might not remember the good or

even okay times there, but the anxious times I have had even managing to get

there.

THis is my mind off finding comparative events, in order to help problem solve.

Like, oh, were going sabre tooth tiger hunting, what happened last time that we

can avoid this time? What was the worst time we had so that we can stop it

happening again? But as you know anxiety isnt like that. Sometimes I can deal

with going to a place where something really bad happened quite well, and others

I just cant bear to be there.

So I'm not sure this will help, but just remember, the mind is quite likely to

come up with similar past events and then do comparison evaluations - its what

it evolved to do - and then try and come back to the present moment, where you

are breathing - hearing the rain outside - reading these letters on the computer

screen - whatever is going on you are not in the dvd replay of the event in your

mind right now.

I dont know whether the rewriting your life story exercise would help or whether

it would be too hard for you right now.

good luck

Hi,

Thank you very much. This is exactly what my mind does. Where is this

exercise you are talking about? I could use more of them. I really

appreciate your reply.

Forgive me, I just lost my dog of 11 years today. Trying to get

through my day. Thanks again, this was very helpful.

The rewriting your life story is in Get out of your mind & into your life book

on page 91

The mindfulness and acceptance workbook for depression has a chapter on holding

your story line lightly, which looks like its covering the same sort of ground

in more depth, (but thats on page 189 and I have got stuck at page 41 so cant be

entirely sure!).

You could also try the timeline one on page 100 Gouym & iyl, thats quite a neat

one for realising how much time I spend in the past and future - even hopping

about, and very little right now. In russ harris happiness trap book, similar

sort of thing is in the time machine chapter around page 149

good luck
