Put it in a drizzle bottle. I don't know what they are properly called, but they

are like the ketchup and mustard squirt bottles at diners. Agave Nectar comes in

these. If you don't have one handy at the moment and you have a medicine

dropper, use that.

Subject: Need help with dog

My 5 year old corgi/terrier dog is haveing major back problems and even though

the vet gave him prednisone and some pain pills he is still in a great amount of

pain.

I have a 25-30% mix of DMSO and have been putting it on his back with a cotton

pad but his fur is thick and I don't know if he is geting enough. It seems to

help a bit but I am hoping someone can suggest what I can do to help him.

I feel so useless and he is whinning in pain. The vet says just to keep him

still for the weekend and not to change his medication.

Can anyone help me and him?

thanks

Mae

May be worth trying MSM powder in drinking water... It is made from DMSO.

My brother used it for his 13 year old Nuffy. It really helped--now he is

using it for himself...Boswellia may also help. For the quick fix the DMSO

topically I think would be best... Lois

There is a vet in Forestville, Sebastopol area of Northern California who does

acupuncture on animals. He has inserted small magnetic balls in joint area of

older dog, who then was able to experience no more pain. I heard this

testimonial from owner of dog. I am trying to find the vet's name, if you are

interested.~ Carol

MSM is fairly bitter so it might take a bit of something tasty to mix it

with.

Start out a 1 teaspoon or less for a 50lb dog and work up to 4 teaspoons a

day over a period of time. It is an excellent anti-inflammatory and is

thought

to work synergistically with DMSO.

There are many anti-inflammatories that might help. Glucosamine chondroiton

helps, and is in some high end dog foods. Try an archive search for

recent discussions.

When my own hips hurt from inflammation I put peppermint oil and then

DMSO to get a nice warm effect that the DMSO or peppermint oil alone

just don't give me. My old dog used to come and ask me to put the DMSO

on her hips! She loved the immediate warmth from the 10 CC of DMSO.
