Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is feeling good.

I am wondering if anyone has any information about a program which I believe is

called Angel Flight?  This was a program that would pay for travel and expenses

if you needed to see a Dr. in another state.  I am in AK and I see a Rheumy in

Seattle WA.

I am now receiving disabilty benefits and so my income is now limited and their

is only one Rheumy in Anchorage AK.  I wasn't happy with the care I was

receiving so I have been seeing a Rheumy at the University of WA.  I go every 6

months.

So if anyone knows about the program I am talking about please let me know.

I have a few money savings tips for anyone who is receiving disability.  Since I

am on disability I am trying to find ways to save money.

If you have any unpaid student loans you may be able to get a grant to pay them

off.  I was able to do this my Dr. just needed to sign a form stating I am 100%

disabled.  This is wondeful I was paying $173 a month and I owed over $19,000. 

I am so happy about this!

I have also been able to get a cheap cell phone through Lifeline.  I was paying

about $40 a month now I am paying less than $5 a month.  Even if you have a

contract you may be able to get out of it I was.

I have also cut my mediacation costs by 2/3's by using a mail order pharmacy.  I

am using CVS pharmacy and I don't even have to pay for shipping.  Yeah!

I hope these tips help someone and if anyone knows of any other programs or ways

to cut costs if your on disability please let me know.
