Guest guest
Hi all; Ok here's the scoop. I just called soc. security to resign from Medicare A which pays for " all your hospitalization " is " free " . " You cannot refuse Medicare part A " . I have to have torture insurance. I can't get off it. Part B pays for outpatient and doctors and suchlike. janet

Guest guest
Hi na, A TAR will be needed for the hospital charges since Medi-Cal will be the only payer for hospital charges. (Remember that this auth, once received is valid for six months and you will need to request and extension). M is “uninsured beneficiary”, could mean spouse or dependent? Hope that helps. , Transplant Financial Coordinator University of California Irvine Medical Center Division of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation millerv@... , fax From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of Casillas, na Sent: Friday, September 04, 2009 9:37 AM To: TxFinancialCoordinators Subject: Medicare I have a patient that has Medicare part B and D only and Medi-Cal. Her Medicare ID number ends with an M. I'm assuming she is eligible under a spouses benefit??? Is Medicare still considered primary, and if so, will Medi-Cal pay all part A charges??? This is the first time I have ever seen this, and all input would be very appreciated. na Casillas Transplant Financial Coordinator Loma University Medical Center Transplantation Institute fax scasillasllu (DOT) edu This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named.
