Guest guest
I am putting this out to several lists and would appreciate a CC to my private email so that I can check the lists that do respond: garnet@... I have a friend who recently had prostate surgery, December 20th. For several years before, during the several years they were watching his PSA and had diagnosed Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy he developed edema around his eyes, upper and lower areas. (He had several years of intense stress preceding his marriage ending in divorce two years ago.) He developed intermittent water blisters below his eyes, just over the orbital ridge. He would apply iced towels and gently massage the water out of the area. After having Robotic Radical Prostectomy, done through five incisions in the abdomen, through with small tubes are passed, so no major incisions, clear margins were obtained. He is now about two and half months post surgery and the water blisters that had disappeared after the surgery have returned. His eye area has remained puffy above and below the eyes but the water blisters had stopped appearing. February 13th he took a constitutional dose of Silicea, 10 M, and is a clear Silicea type. Two weeks later the water blisters returned. Other issues such as pain of adhesions from incision sites and bladder spasms with some incontinence improved significantly within days to weeks. This remedy is deep acting and powerful, and is known to have actions up to six months. I suspect that he is recycling his symptoms as they are healing. Any ideas on how to aid this healing would be appreciated. As you can imagine the eye swelling is a hindrance to working, he works on computers, and is uncomfortable as well as cosmetically bothersome. I have thought of Apis and gave him 200c for three days in a row just this past weekend to see if that would clear the edema and water blisters. He does not seem to be holding water or puffy in any other body parts. Although his abdomen is slightly bloated after a heavy meal and he seems to crave carbs and fatty foods like Water Blister, and bread, crackers, he also does drink some alcohol daily, a martini after work and a beer or wine with dinner. Thanks for any ideas of remedies or other lists to post to. I am puzzled by the history of the eye symptoms in the absence of other edema. He is thin and tall btw, not at all over weight, walks several times a day and seems to be in fairly fit condition. He is 57.
