Guest guest
Wyeth admits use of EFEXOR in lactating women cannot be recommended Use During Lactation Venlafaxine and/or its metabolites are secreted in milk of lactating rats at concentrations higher than those found in the plasma of the dam. Venlafaxine and its metabolites have been shown to pass into human milk. The total dose of venlafaxine and ODV ingested by breast fed infants can be as high as 9.2% of maternal intake. Therefore, the use of EFEXOR in lactating women cannot be recommended. Exposed infants should be observed closely. http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/DatasheetPage.htm Wyeth (N.Z) Limited, 15B Vestey Drive, Mt Wellington AUCKLAND (09) 573 5100 Date of Preparation: 09 December 2003 ® Registered Trade Mark
