Janet, I can relate to that. But if you were to die from cancer, it would be slowly. And you'd want Hospice for that. Medicare pays for Hospice. They would take care of you in your house, make sure you are not in any pain, and have volunteers to talk to and help you cross over. If you have no Medicare, I don't see how you could get Hospice. Look into it, ok? Just do an internet search on Hospice. Believe me, if you were dying of cancer, you'd want them there taking care of you. Guest guest
Dear Janet, You said: <<Medicare is a scam of blackmail and death. poison, cut, or burn. i don't want any of them. drugs, surgery, radiation. if and when and i probably will get cancer, i'm not going throughthe so called " treatment " which is not only hell on earth but the you usually die anyway and die broke. I'll take my chances. I should've been dead years ago on these drugs. And my problems are minor compared to most on the list, and for what they should be for all the drugs i took. My biggest worry was not sleeping and that has cleared up apparently. I have enough haldol and klonopin to last me a lifetime so if'n it gets bad again sleep-wise i can always douse myeslf and get enough to keep on keeping on. That's my take on the world. It ain't worth it to me any more to livein fear and oppression which is what we have today. The environment alone is enough to kill you even ifyou live a totally " healthy " organic lifestyle in most of the western world. I found out about the leaching pseudo estrogens in plastics the other day. I can't remember what th official kind of pseudo estrogens they are. But they are cancer producing. I hate plastic and buy as few plastic things as i can and my house and car and etc. are loaded from top to bottom with plastics. Where can i get a metal keyboard? no such thing. The enighbors " help " me by throwing chemicals on my lawn for weed and ant control so the cats and i can spend our lives at the doctors/vets " recovering " from cancer.>> ** I completely understand and see it as you bringing your actions into line with your beliefs. I completely trust that the choices you make are right for you. Regards,
Guest guest
Janet, Hospice care is not " fake. " Hospice volunteers are the most honestly caring people there are. I know, I've been through the Hospice training program twice. They don't get paid for caring. Why wouldn't you want pain drugs? You might not have a choice whether to go slowly or fast. Hugs, Melody > No, Melody, i have no use for fake caring people (the traditional > medical world) when i feel badly. My Dad was up and about doing finances > until a couple of days before he died. Guest guest
Janet, I don't think you have any idea of what kind of pain a terminal cancer patient endures. I think about this subject all the time because I have an excellent chance of dying from cancer (genetically). Besides, you don't have to have traditional pain medicine, you could probably have marijuana instead :-). Hugs, Melody > Hi ; > > " Treatment " creates long lingering deaths. Guest guest
> Anything that is that serious will kill me more cleanly if i just let it > go. Janet, serious things can kill you very, very, slowly and painfully. After being in bed for 2 months from hepatitis, I can tell you there was many times I wished for someone to kill me quickly, but it doesn't work that way and no one would. P.S. If you own more than $2,000 in assets like a house, you can't get Medicaid. Love, Melody
Guest guest
No problem, Janet. I agree with you; it's been hell for me too. I'm going to have my Hospice workers read the Tibetan Book of the Dead to me to help me cross over. I have this all planned out. Morbid? NO, realistic! Guest guest
> Hi Melody, > I think you are right as far as the cancer goes i watched my dad die of it > and the day he died he asked the doc to up his morphine patch as it wasn't > working plus he was also taking oramorph. > Dad did tell me tho the radiation was killing him quicker and > he wished he never had it. Roz Roz, My mom went through hell because of the chemotherapy and radiation. I refuse to ever do it. Also, my mom kicked out the Hospice people from her home for some reason. She ended up dying alone in a cold hospital. I will never die in a hospital like that if I can help it. I plan to have lots and lots of pain drugs when I go. Who cares if the drugs kill you if you are already dying? Hugs, Melody
