Guest guest
Hi Uly, Sometimes doctors are ignorant or lazy or both. As I've written before, it took me 20 years to be diagnosed with diabetes. All during that time I was told there was nothing wrong with me, mainly because my lab test scores were off by four points (from the number at which diabetes was officially diagnosed). There would be no problem getting diagnosed now with that score, but in the 70s and 80s, it was suggested more than once that my problems were all in my head. The fact that my blood sugar was TWICE that of a normal person was ignored. The only truth that mattered to those doctors were those four missing points. And that was diabetes which is an accepted condition, as opposed to Fibro and CFS which are largely misunderstood. For those of us who have CFS and Fibro (which I've heard called " invisible diseases " ), a lot depends on how determined we are. Maybe it's time for you to start advocating for yourself, since your doctors aren't being any help. There are many here who could help. Let us know...
