Guest guest
Yesterday I gave Chief DMSO on his Hips and legs once early in the morning. I missed out the midday treatment to see if anything else but the DMSO was working. In the Arvo about 5pm I took him out side and he was back to not being able to walk a few feet without sitting down. The day before walked around the back yard for a good 5 minutes and up the back ramp without sitting down once. So that tells me DMSO is getting rid of his pain but nothing else has started to work yet i.e. Blackstrap molasses, MSM internally, green lipped muscle, Apple cider vinegar etc. Am I going to have to apply DMSO 3 times a day and some internally for the rest of his life? I was hoping other products will work from the inside out and I can cut down on the DMSO. I have used just over a 1/2 a bottle of DMSO and it had only been 6 days? It's going to be very expensive to keep up this treatment and all the other stuff I'm giving him on a disability pension Should I Continue with the 500ml 99.9% DMSO and demineralised water for $49 from the Horse food supply shop or buy 1 liter of 70/30 DMSO from a well known DMSO/MSM internet supplier here in Australia? Should I just put DMSO on Chiefs hip joint where the Hip dysplasia and Arthritis should be or continue doing pretty much his whole leg area? Sorry for all the questions...but I really don't know what I'm doing and am going though a massive learning curve with DMSO. Uly
Guest guest
You may find that giving it internally will be all he needs. I've read that the DMSO goes to where it is needed. A few days of experimenting should determine if the internal dosing can replace the external application. Mara > > Yesterday I gave Chief DMSO on his Hips and legs once early in the > morning. Guest guest
I would concentrate on the area of actual displaysia. A good thing to help that is called CM0 I think. If my spelling is correct it is cetyl myristoleate. Supposed to be good for healing in joints/tendons. > > > Yesterday I gave Chief DMSO on his Hips and legs once early in the > morning. Guest guest
Normally once a person starts taking DMSO orally they can stop the external application. So Chief may be the same. I'd be giving the MSM and DMSO orally. I would stop with the mussel, ACV, etc and see how he does on just the DMSO/MSM. If that isn't quite enough you may want to try purchasing some beef based CMO. Don't get the vegetable based kind. Many people with severe arthritis take CMO for a month and then their joints are 'fixed'. CMO helps rebuild the joints/cartilage. Some suggest a 10 day protocol and for a few people that is enough. For most it takes 1 month. For a few people it takes 2 months and for a very few, 3 months. The majority is 1 month. And for the majority of people the pain never comes back again--for a few people they may need to repeat the one month in about 2 years, and for a very few people they need to repeat it at the 6 month mark. But then they also never have to do it again. And of course, there are always those very few people that CMO (or anything, actually) doesn't work. Here's the type of CMO you'd want to get http://www.raysahelian.com/cmo.html (info on CMO) Yes, It works great for dogs too. Whether these tablets are the best form or not, I'm not sure but here's some info for you. http://www.southwestequineproducts.com/id74.html You can Google Cetyl Myristoleate for dogs for more info. I didn't know you were in Oz, so have no idea what the price is there. In our feed stores (which have things for horses) we can buy a quart bottle of 99% DMSO for about $8. You don't NEED 99.9% pure. 99% is fine and what most people use. That extra .9 can be expensive. Some people feel it's worth it, but since they use 99% pure for million dollar race horses I guess it's good enough for me. I would just put it over Chief's hips. That's where the pain is. And start him on it orally as that will help a lot. It may be that you give him the DMSO and MSM to keep the pain away while giving the CMO a chance to work. Then see how he is after 1 month on CMO. He may not need anything again. But since each animal and human is different you will just have to experiment to see. Most people start seeing some relief after 10 days on the CMO, but some it takes almost the full month before they get relief. Yet after that month, they are fine for the rest of their lives. You are doing a great job. I know it's so hard because they can't tell us, but you are doing him a world of good. Guest guest
I have used aleve, ibeprofen, aspirin mixed with DMSO and then applied to local areas, dampens pain rather well. Possibly Aleve may have a more lasting affect. david in lubbock tx Re: DMSO the only thing Working on Chief? I would concentrate on the area of actual displaysia.
