Guest guest
I opened my clinic July 15th, but after 5 months - no reimbursement from CMS, I got my first check right before Christmas. The irony is that all my forms and accounts with CMS (Noridian) were in place April 15th of 2009 but I didn't see my first medicare patient until July 17th. Medicare had made my account " inactive " because I hadn't billed for 90 days. It took 3 months to get my reapplication accepted and then 2 months to get them to pay. A warning for future IMPs. If you want to bill CMS (big if), do not apply to late, but do not apply to early to CMS. Stew Eugene, OR postscript: I consider it a belated Hannukah present.
