Hi, Ann: I used 99.9% pure DMSO, I started with one drop of DMSO to about one ounce of honey, then increased it to two drops. Just want to clarify also, that when I say it stings at first, I would not categorize the stinging as a serious pain, just a bit of short lived smarting. The eyes, at least in my experience, do water profusely for 15 or so minutes afterward, leaving the eye feeling very comfortable. As a result of this topic coming up recently, I have gone back to using this protocol at bedtime. Taffy
Guest guest
Well, forgive me, please; I'm into this thread late. Actually, I'm afraid I didn't really know what to think about my use of DMSO. First, let me say how I mixed it. The idea of a gooey mixture of mostly honey didn't appeal to me so I mixed 30cc Raw Honey and 30cc water and added 1 drop of 99% DMSO; man that stung my eyeballs like crazy. Oh, after mixing, I dipped a Qtip into the mixture and then pulled each bottom eye lid down just a bit, touched the wet Qtip to the lid, blinked several times. I didn't like that degree of stinging in my eyes but I did continue it in that manner for several weeks. Then, out of the blue, I decided to cut the strength by 50%. I did that by mixing 60cc Raw Honey and 60cc water, then added 1 drop of DSMO; didn't really cut the stinging too much and I grew tired of this several weeks later. Total use time; maybe 90 days. Then I decided to ask a second Eye Doctor and did not say one word about Cataracts. When she was finished with the exam, as we were walking out of the examination room, she said " It makes me feel wonderful to help return a patient's eyes to 20 - 20 " . I said " Well, except you didn't say anything about a Cataract, don't I have one " ? We went back to the machine and she said " Obie, I don't see any evidence of a Cataract; you don't have a Cataract in either eye " . Then I realized I'd been had by the first Doc. I confronted him about it and he returned my money. Today, I think I don't have a Cataract and, whether I had one and got rid of it with DMSO or did not have one, I guess I'll never know. I do know, if I ever do have one, I'll do the 60cc Raw Honey/Water and 1 drop DMSO again or I may try a young Coconut. Best regards, Obie. ___________________________________________________________________ _____ From: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO [mailto:DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO ] On Behalf Of Ann Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2011 10:03 AM To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO Subject: strength of DMSO for honey mixture for cataracts Hi Taffy, What strength of DMSO did you use with your honey mixture for cataracts? 5%, 10%, 50%, 99.9%??? Thanks for all your information and help, Ann *********************************** Posted by: " Taffy " taffya@... <mailto:taffya%40telus.net> andersontaffy Date: Fri Feb 18, 2011 5:55 am ((PST)) Uly, I had hoped that Olbie would see the question about cataracts and the use of DMSO and honey. I am going by recall as I could not find the old post, so I can only say I think it was Obie who reported that he used DMSO mixed with raw, unpasteurized honey (Manuka honey is a good one) for cataracts. He wrote that after using this mixture, on the next visit to the ophthalmologist, the doctor asked " where did the cataracts go? " Personally, I have used a mixture of about one ounce of honey to two or so drops of DMSO, in the corner of the eye, along the lash and on the eyelid. It not only helped for tired, itching eyes, but I swear that colours were brighter and I had better definition in my vision. I was told about two years ago that I had the very beginning of cataracts, but I have not been able to afford to have my eyes checked again to see if this mixture solved the problem I just know that from experience it at least has helped my eyes. It does sting a bit for about a minute and causes the eyes to water profusely for several minutes. The next morning there is grit in the eyes, more that just from the honey I think, anyway. Also, in Scandinavia, many eye doctors recommend the use of Swedish Bitters, applied to the eyelid and in the corner of the eye for treatment of cataracts, I personally know individuals in Stockholm , over ninety years young, who followed this recommendation and have perfect vision...even though they were diagnosed with cataracts at an earlier age. All the best, Taffy
