cataracts in dogs

Uly, I had hoped that Olbie would see the question about cataracts and the

use of DMSO and honey. I am going by recall as I could not find the old

post, so I can only say I think it was Obie who reported that he used DMSO

mixed with raw, unpasteurized honey (Manuka honey is a good one) for

cataracts. He wrote that after using this mixture, on the next visit to the

ophthalmologist, the doctor asked " where did the cataracts go? "

Personally, I have used a mixture of about one ounce of honey to two or so

drops of DMSO, in the corner of the eye, along the lash and on the eyelid.

It not only helped for tired, itching eyes, but I swear that colours were

brighter and I had better definition in my vision. I was told about two

years ago that I had the very beginning of cataracts, but I have not been

able to afford to have my eyes checked again to see if this mixture solved

the problem I just know that from experience it at least has helped my eyes.

It does sting a bit for about a minute and causes the eyes to water

profusely for several minutes. The next morning there is grit in the eyes,

more that just from the honey I think, anyway.

Also, in Scandinavia, many eye doctors recommend the use of Swedish Bitters,

applied to the eyelid and in the corner of the eye for treatment of

cataracts, I personally know individuals in Stockholm , over ninety years

young, who followed this recommendation and have perfect vision...even

though they were diagnosed with cataracts at an earlier age.

Sounds interesting...But I won't try it on Chief till We Here back from Dianne.

Dianne is now our guinea pig

Don't know if Chief can take any more pain especially to his eyes.
