Cat and dogs diets

Hi,

I'm not sure if Punkin is a cat or a dog but will now weigh in on cats and

dogs.

I have a cat who will vomit on every dry food I've tried on her, except one.

I am now feeding her 'Purina One' for sensitive systems, with turkey and

egg. I avoided all the cat foods that mentioned 'flavors' and went with the

one that sounded the most natural. I also give her a smidge of Pedigree

'With Chopped Chicken' canned dog food because she begs me for it. She also

loves raw hamburger.

All of my dogs absolutely love raw hamburger. Anything raw, for that

matter. I've often considered bringing road kill home for them, especially

when a deer is killed by a car. Also, I am able to give them just about any

herb or vitamin, by using a can of 'Pedigree', 'With Chopped Chicken' (looks

like hamburger, smells like Spam, make sure the word CHOPPED is in the name

or you will get with chicken, and it isn't as good. Just look for the one

that looks like hamburger on the label. I will slice a layer of this dog

food, put whatever needs to be given, sprinkled over the layer of dog food,

then sometimes a tablespoon of bacon grease over the herbs or vitamins, then

another thin layer of Pedigree dog food, 'With Chopped Chicken'.

BTW, the oldest dog I'd ever heard of was a Border Collie in another

country, perhaps Australia, who ate 100% boiled potato peelings. He was in

perfect health the last time I heard of him. He was either in his 20 or

30's; either one of which was amazing. I've often wondered if that might

not be the diet to use for animals. This might be the same dog as Uly is

talking about.

Hope this helps.

Jean
