Hi again Kendee,

Support groups on the Net can be very helpful, however, according to

the scientific studies I've read about, the main ingredient for good

health needed is to be in a supportive situation where you make

yourself *vulnerable* (which is what " opening your heart " is all about).

The problem with internet groups is that we don't have to be

vulnerable at all because we are hiding behind a computer. It is

completely different than in-person support groups.

The scientific studies also show that people who have a loving spouse

and family live longer, have much less depression, fewer heart attacks

and cancer than socially isolated persons. If doctors would just admit

to the outcome of these studies, they would be prescribing LOVE more

than any pills.

Also, people who are happily married rarely commit suicide compared to

single people. (However, not all of us are fortunate enough to be in

that situation, which is often beyond our control). We can make up for

that lack of intimacy if we are single by going regular to support

groups and sharing honestly there.

Best of luck,

Melody
