Guest guest
Yes, DMSO has a chemical attraction to water, so when the exchange happens, heat is released. Since you aren't going to get hurt by this heat, you can put DMSO in water or water in DMSO. Usually when working with chemicals, you put the chemical into water. That way if there is splash back when pouring it you will either get back splash of pure water, or greatly diluted chemical. If you were to pour water into the chemical it would be the opposite--you'd get the chemical splashed on you. So many people will say put the DMSO into water (chemical into water), but I don't pay much attention because though it can get pretty hot, I don't think it gets hot enough to actually burn the skin. Still, better safe than sorry. Well, if Chief is taking it in his water, that's great. My dogs wouldn't do that. I have to hide it in something. And he switched right to raw food? He's an amazing dog. Mine took quite a while before switching, and one still refuses. My dog preferred the 1/4 tea in a quart of water. I put down all 3 bowls--1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and let her pick. She likes the 1/4 teaspoon one. So the water dish holds 3 quarts--I now put 3/4 teaspoon in there, plus sprinkle some salt directly onto her food. it really seems to be making a difference in how she feels, rather than just the weather change. Samala, -------Original Message------- Chief is taking it internally from a glass bowl I.e 1/2 teaspoon of DMSO and some water. How is your dog going on the sea salt...How much are you giving your dog?
