Guest guest
Hi Kiddo, thought that was you, you sound great... my husband is still on the effexor and valium, the VA hospital had him so brainwashed into believing his mental illness was real that he moved out and we no longer are together. He did move home for a while, but he decided he was not happy and neither was I... on his own, about 7 months ago, he started to come to the realization that the drugs were killing him, he has reduced 1/3 of both drugs - not at the same time, first the valium and now he is reducing the effexor... he is having a hard time, but at least he is doing it..... he is listening to his body and trying hard to do everything right... he calls daily and he askes many, many questions of me now... I think one turning point for him was when he showed up for his regular appointment at the VA last spring and they told him, he would get his drugs in the mail and did not have to come back till December.... it floored him... they did not care about him, did not want to cure him... nothing, just maintain stability.... good grief.... thanks for asking, one day, he will be free of these drugs and hopefully will not have have lost too much of his health to them hugs
