Guest guest
Always obtain your medical records - you own them - and you might be surprised at what they say about you! It's nigh impossible though to get your psych records. For some reason, they think if a person with a mental illness sees the lies they write, they may do bodily harm to the doctor!!! LOL Blind Reason a novel of espionage and pharmaceutical intrigue Think your antidepressant is safe? Think again.

Guest guest
I would keep trying, threaten them with federal law, etc. I have all my psych records. I have all my records, but I got them from my lawyer, not the doctors. Blind Reason a novel of espionage and pharmaceutical intrigue Think your antidepressant is safe? Think again. Guest guest
The exception is psychotherapy notes. Your request to see these can be denied Told you so!!!! And it's for the reason I stated. Mentally unstable people simply shouldn't see the b.s. that's written about them. LOL Blind Reason a novel of espionage and pharmaceutical intrigue Think your antidepressant is safe? Think again.
Guest guest
there are powers greater than the medical and legal industries. Yes, there are. Guest guest
It's illegal for them to deny you your records unless they can prove they have an excellent reason. I would keep trying, threaten them with federal law, etc. I have all my psych records. My medical doctors are the ones who lie like crazy in my records. They want to make it out like I'm a totally insane and noncompliant patient, just because they don't trust or understand anyone with a 'mental illness.' They are so STIGMATIZING, it should be illegal. Best, Melody glitterari@... wrote: It's nigh impossible though to get your psych records. Guest guest
Dear List Members, As of April 14, 2003 people have access to their medical records as mandated under HIPAA legislation. If you are refused a copy of your medical record you may file a complaint with the federal Dep't. of Health and Human Services. The exception is psychotherapy notes. Your request to see these can be denied. But the request extends only as far a therapy sessions. All medication records must be disclosed. Guest guest
Melody; In reality and in truth, psych patients have less rights than the common or uncommon criminal. It is why they will not show up on this list. It is why you do not see more schiz like me. they live in terror. ask them off list and they will tell you. janet
