Guest guest
We used it for awhile but stopped. We were not happy with the service. They kept our daughter, , inside the building even when all the other kids were playing outside. We noticed this happening very often. This was just our experience, others may have had better experiences with the service. Bill Milam Re: FW: Aftercare > Country Isles elementary has a YMCA program for Autistic kids, > it is very good. Guest guest
Please forward any information you get. I could certainly use a baby-sitting service as well. Especially one that specializes in autism. I would appreciate any info. Thanks, Wendi

Guest guest
I used to work for the YMCA of South Broward County. My program was locoated at Walter C. Young Middle School. I had individuals coming from all over Broward County. You need to speak to the county transportation (Central, South, North, etc.) and tell them that you will be enrolling your child in the program and that you require transportation to the aftercare program. It shouldn't be a problem. Guest guest
We currently have an afterschool program for children 6 - 18 years of age (referred to as " ABLE " ). The children enrolled have varying exceptionalities - not just autism or a related disorder. The program is funded through Developmental Services (Medicaid Waiver) and Broward County so children must be clients of Developmental Services. The program operates starts around 2:30 (or whenever the kids start arriving) and operates until 6pm. Children must be transported to the program by the pupil transportation (Broward County School System transportation) and must be able to participate in the program for at least 3 hours per day. Transportation home at the end of the day is available on a limited basis. At this time we are currently accepting applications. For additional questions related to the program and assistance to become a client of Developmental Services (if not already), please contact Maureen at 746-9400. Thanks Price ARC Broward
