Guest guest
Hi , I sure can relate to the love of coffee! Unfortunately, Lyme disease had beat up my adrenals and I finally took pity on them and stopped coffee: hardest thing I ever did! (as my energy declined, coffee was my only source of get-up-and-go, until I realized it's law of diminishing returns, burning out the adrenals further) Now, to facilitate detoxing (so important when killing Lyme pathogens) I do a low volume coffee enema every day. I call it my crappucino. No, it doesn't give me a buzz, but seriously helps my liver and aid my recovery. It also gives me an excuse to curl up with a good book or netflix on my iPad, when I'd otherwise be getting up and tackling my day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that D3 in larger amounts will help for a more uninterrupted sleep.THAT would be heavenly. You must be feeling so much more rested! Most Lymies are very D-deficient, as the pathogens consume whatever they get in their diet. I'll keep you posted. Be well, Léna Thanks Lena, for keeping me vertical, I am now taking one fifty thousand unit pill every other day, and will continue that regiment, my friends and co-workers accuse me of mega dosing, and that is worrisome, so I backed off. And yes, I limit myself to one large carbo drink per day. But still I am overdoing the coffee, I simply love expresso and drink four large cups each day. I seem to recall caffeine drains the body of calcium as well. I am having fun, I feel I have discovered the holy grail. wahoo How awesome it is to have the urge and put it off. Just imagine how much more efficient my body will be, with added alkalinity. Never being ill. No cancer, no fungus/candida. The Vitamin D seems to allow me to sleep better, never realized it acted as a sleep aid. I will come down in a few days and do the right thing, I always do. stay vertical, david a

Guest guest
Lena, Good thing I did not have a mouthful of coffee just now when I read of your 'crappucino'. It would have been all over my keyboard and screen. LOL. On a serious note tho, the 'crappucino' will help the bile duct to open and pass any gallstones accumulated in the gall bladder. Always a plus. Helps the liver do it's job more easily. Milk thistle is supposed to be a great liver aid too. Kudos. Lyme's is a tough nut to crack and even tougher to live with. Does not help either that it is often mis-diagnosed so often. I suspect that olive leaf extract might do well against it. Trouble is, it needs to be taken separate from foods to be most effective. Guest guest
Hi Joan, I really enjoyed Ray Peat's article! Now that some of my more strung-out neural/antsiness expressions of Lyme have diminished, I may slowly re-introduce some good coffee when I crave it. Or maybe just start with some good organic decaf, which has a little caffeine. It certainly would help move these cold, gray days. CEs don't do much for the get-up-and-go. Next, I'll check out the interference fields, and how to break them up. Thanks! its things like this that keep me checking into these groups. Also, in what manner do you administer your Lugols? How much, how often? I've mixed Lugols with DMSO and roll that on scars and rashes. Be well, Léna I take 100mg of Lugol's iodine a day and sleep better than I ever have. My inflammation in my gums and bones is going away and my skin looks very healthy. I am convinced that iodine is THE main cure for lyme. It attacks the germ and makes the terrain healthy also making for a win/win situation. I drink very strong coffee in the morning and have very bad adrenals but it isn't the coffee that affects them, its interference fields. I have several, starting with my C-section scar. It was cleared but I think it comes back sometimes. Every time by body experiences some sort of trauma my adrenals start to act up. I rub Iosol iodine on the areas and the adrenals settle down. For the liver, I have taken Standard Process' Antronex, started with 15 per day, then went down to 10 after a week, finishing two weeks later. Works great. Here's an article by Ray Peat on the benefits of coffee. Ray Peat isn't everybody's favorite but I like how his mind works. http://raypeat.com/articles/articles/caffeine.shtml Google Neural Therapy to learn about interference fields. You can find more under scars. Dr. Bigelsen says that it is the interference fields that are the main problem with lyme, they like to hang out there. If you take away their hiding places, they can roam around like other pathogens we all carry. It is an interesting concept. I think adding iodine to the mix will weaken if not kill the pathogens. I'm having great success, so far! Joan > > Hi , > I sure can relate to the love of coffee! Guest guest
When i suffered insomnia for two weeks without a wink, my integrative doc made me take more magnesium to bowel tolerance and it worked. > > > > Thanks Lena, for keeping me vertical, I am now taking one fifty thousand > > unit pill every other day, and will continue that regiment, my friends > > and > > co-workers > > accuse me of mega dosing, and that is worrisome, so I backed off. Guest guest
Googling it will get you to many different sites. Here are two different places to buy it. The first one has good info on iodine and detoxing. It is important to be informed about bromide detox. Many think that the iodine isn't good for them because of the detox reaction when it really is the bromide that is causing the problem. www.breastcancerhoices.org www.jcrows.com www.naturalthyroidchoices.com I started with Iodoral until I went up to a higher dose. Now I take Lugol's but I use Iosol iodine topically because it doesn't stain and seems to be effective. Guest guest
Hi Lena, We are on a couple of groups together. I see you on the Salt/C group. I take Lugol's in apple cider vinegar per Dr. Jarvis' recs (Folk Medicine) and make sure I drink plenty of water afterwards to help dilute it in my stomach. It is rough on mucous membranes. I'm thinking about using DMSO and iodine on my son for the lipoma on his lower spine. How do you mix them? I finally bought some but haven't broke the seal yet. Forget the decaf coffee. Its not good for you. I found that I did find with coffee when I started taking thyroid glandular. http://www.naturalworldhealing.com/index_files/neural-therapy-1.pdf I take around 100mg a day. It took me a long time to make that decision, to up the dosage, and it was the best thing I've done so far. I also apply it liberally on areas that are bothering me. Iodine is a great compliment to Salt/C, actually salt/C is part of the iodine protocol. I know someone who crashed after five years of salt/C and is now taking ABX. We all have bromide in us which the salt/C can do nothing for. It takes iodine. Guest guest
Hi Joan, I got a bunch of glass perfume roll-on bottles from eBay. I've made all sorts of mixes in them, always adding DMSO last if that's one of the ingredients.(It's likely to heat ups dramatically if water or other liquids are added on top of it) Presently, I fill the bottle half full with Lugol's, then add 1/4 aloe, and 1/4 DMSO. DMSO is very drying to the skin and the aloe helps keep things from drying and peeling, but adding it will necessitate shaking each time you use. Roll-ons allow easy application with little waste, and one doesn't have to be so careful of what might be on hands (lotion, etc.) that DMSO might accidentally carry into skin. I used to apply Lugol's straight with a Q-tip and would watch to see how long it took to disappear into my skin. When it stopped disappearing before 12 hours, I assumed that my body was no longer desperately deficient. I once weaned off of coffee by mixing with organic instant water- decaffeinated, and now I keep it on hand for guests if they ask, but I personally dislike it. Would rather enjoy real coffee. I have a one- person thermal coffee press and really enjoyed that on the road. That would probably be my choice to start: grind it coarsely in an ancient iron coffee grinder to enjoy the aroma and then press. (double my pleasure). I've got Dr. Jarvis' book around here somewhere. Must look up that combo. I usually simply put some drops in distilled water. The AVC is better, I assume? The document you gave the link for is very interesting. My heart sinks though, as I'm pretty much beyond the pale of any good, informed medical folk around here and any procedure requiring a doc is out of the question. I haven't read the whole article yet, though, so don't know if I'll be able to put it to practical use. If the operative anesthetic is procaine, I wonder if there is a topical counterpart that could be 'injected' by DMSO. DMSO, MSM, are both known for opening cells both for receiving nutrients and for releasing toxins. DMSO, when applied to bruises, certainly causes the detritus of trauma to disappear surprisingly quickly, and I suspect it also carries the uric acid away quickly as well, judging by how quickly it eases muscle pain. I'd hope they would contribute to breaking up scar tissue to some degree. Also, D3 is supposed to encourage cell differentiation, which I think means encouraging cells to return to their specific, normal state which I'd think would address scar tissue. Dunno. Guest guest
Seems to me I have read NOT to use instant coffee. I personally have used drip coffee although some boil their coffee and use organic and even a high palmitic acid coffee specific to use in coffee enemas. It is the palmitic acid that is beneficial. Guest guest
I used to make Toddy coffee, which adds cold water to a lb of coffee, then drips through a thick felt filter, making a syrup which can then be refrigerated and for a week. If I start actually drinking coffee, I could return to this for my enemas, I suppose. ly, compliance is a real issue with me at this point. I'm chafing at all the maintenance protocols that clutter up my day as it is and am looking to streamline things rather than make them more cumbersome. My organic instant coffee enemas have made such a difference that I wonder how much better brewed coffee would be, especially if the extra time spent at prep in the morning would tend to make me skip CEs more often. I only miss a couple a month presently. Thanks for the links. I'll read them and see how far beyond the pale i am. ;-) Be well, Léna Seems to me I have read NOT to use instant coffee. I personally have used drip coffee although some boil their coffee and use organic and even a high palmitic acid coffee specific to use in coffee enemas. It is the palmitic acid that is beneficial. Here are a few links. Guest guest
I'll take a look at these links too -- so is it truly necessary to use instant coffee? I rarely drink coffee these days and the husband uses the keurig several times a day. Can't I use a few of the spent grounds (making sure it's just a " plain " coffee rather than a flavored one)? Guest guest
" Folk Medicine " is the name of the book. I bought mine at www.jcrows.com but I think Amazon sells it also. He says 1 tbl apple cider vinegar + 1 tbl raw honey in 8 oz water. He adds Lugol's to that mixture. He says acv puts your body at the right pH. He has a different take on alkalinity, one that makes sense to me. Guest guest
From everything I'm hearing, instant is not the favored way. I do it only because the instant organic coffee (Mount Hagen) I use seems to work rather well for me. I can feel my liver dump, my CEs reduce herxes, and I haven't had many detox problems since doing CEs of this sort regularly(for 2+ years). I really appreciate not having to do the whole production of brewing first thing in the morning. It takes too long to get out the door as it is! When we're on the road in the Airstream, I can use the on- demand hot and filtered water to make instant org. coffee in a matter of seconds without firing up the stove, or waking my husband (or myself, for that matter) =). As much as most CE documents specify 'brewed coffee', I'm not sure spent grounds of regular coffee would be much use. You'd definitely not want to use flavored coffee, but even the plain might already have lost some of the volatiles that make coffee effective. Be well, Léna I'll take a look at these links too -- so is it truly necessary to use instant coffee? I rarely drink coffee these days and the husband uses the keurig several times a day. Guest guest
Boiling the coffee is simple, and although it takes time, probably has more palmitic acid than drip coffee. Spent grounds probably has very little. High palmitic acid coffee specifically for CEs is available and is probably the best to use as you will get more palmitic acid in a lower volume of coffee. I have seen advice to use less coffee at first if you herx too much and gradually increase the volume or strength of the coffee. I used one cup of fairly strong drip and was very happy with the results, felt my gallbladder open up and dump, gurgle under my right ribs, I did it at night and absorbed it all. I need to do more and am currently taking Chinese Herbs to prepare for a Liver GB flush in 3- 6 weeks, CEs are said to assist with this process. www.sensiblehealth.com It is some trouble though and does take dedication to keep up with all that one might be doing. Guest guest
I did 7 of the liver cleanses. It is a fantastic process, as I first passed a cup full of pea-green gallstones, pea-sized, the following AM. By 3rd cleanse, I noticed the 'greenies were only half of pea-size, and a very pale green-tan. By the 5th cleanse, they were the size of birdshot (1/16 " ) or less, and a pale tan. Two more cleanses yielded no more solids whatsoever. Super cheap to do, and quite easy also. Epsom salts, olive oil, and grapefruit juice . Whole process took no more than a month at most. Could have been 3 weeks or less. I just did one every few days. My wife did 21. She had solids during around 16 of the cleanses. Like mine, they began as pea green pea-sized gallstones (gobs of cholestrol really) Like mine, hers got progressivelly smaller and more pale until a pale tan color and smaller than birdshot. According to Dr , it is one of the very best things one can do for their health and barring some condition or disease, can restore the liver to what it was when one was very young. says that it can make one deathly ill if they have intestinal parasites, as it will stir them up and even kill them. kSkhe recommends a kidney cleanse and a parasite cleanse to be on the safe side before doing a liver cleanse. Likely the crapucinno would not interfere with intestinal parasites and would not make one sick. My 35-year old daughter passed roundworms she did not know she had. (she used to sleep with her dogs, which Kathy and I both condemned). My oldest son passed something that he could not recognize. Neither one got real sick tho.
