I was just steered to Uniphen P23 as a substitute for Suttocide A while looking for information on various preservatives. Haven't read up on it as yet. I am not trying to stir up a hornets nest on an old issue, but I was also informed that " there is also a new preservative, totally natural, that is coming out. " No name given, but it is not GSE. I know. I know. I have lurked long enough on this list and others to take that with a box of salt. I found it somewhat amusing though. Uniphen P23 is effective between 3 and 8. Suttocide A is suppose to be active between 3.5 and 12. Between pH 3 and 8, I would choose Uniphen P23 over Suttocide A. Between pH 3 and 8, I use Germall Plus. Maurice -------------------------------------------------------- Maurice O.
