Guest guest
I'm going to use this formula as a guideline, but now that Maurice, Angie, and others have brought me up to speed on HLBs, I've got a couple of question concerning this particular formula: 1. It only has one emulsifier! I thought that a pretty steadfast rule of thumb was to use at least two emulsifiers, with a combination of high and low HLB values. This segues into my second question... 2. What's the deal with borax and beeswax? Does that combination create an emulsifier of some kind? Why not just use e-wax then? Oh, one more question. Does the combination of oils used make any difference, or is that just a matter of personal preference? Thanks all! Jane (who's about to put all this good info to use and make a w/o cream! I know all of you are saying, " but why? " Because I want an emu oil-rich cream in which to incorporate antioxidents and other stuff at night!)
