You are correct. I should've put some directions down. The next revision will

have directions.

All you have to do is put the percentages of oil/waxes/butters in column C,

starting in cell C3, and put the corresponding required HLB in column D,

starting in cell D3. There is

enough room for 20 different oils, waxes or butters.

Next enter the names of the emulsifiers used in cells C26 and C27.

Enter the HLBs of the emulsifiers in C29 and C30 and enter the amount of

emulsifer in cell C32.

And if all goes according to plan, the results will appear in column G.

HLB & RHLB Calc Rev 4 has been added to HLB_System folder in the CosmeticInfo

files area

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cosmeticinfo/files/HLB_System/HLB_ & _RHLB_Calc_Rev_\

4.xls

Try it out and let me know if you have any problems. This version requires less

data entry and I think it is easier to use.

Thanks

Everything is expressed in terms of percenatge.

If you are using HLB_ & _RHLB_Calc_Rev_4.xls, then you can add any oils,

waxes or butters that you need or want. Just go to the list of oils,

waxes and buuters and add " kokum butter " in cell B60. I would use 8 as

the required HLB. The RHLB ID for kokum butter will be 2058. When you

type in " 2058 " in column A, kokum butter and it's required HLB will

show up in the display.

HLB_ & _RHLB_Calc_Rev_4.xls will accept over 40 additional oils, waxes or

butters. You can also add additional emulsifiers.

I'll take a look at it.
