Guest guest
Hello! That article on spirituality was very interesting...I have found that my spiritual orientation has helped me immeasureably to deal with my health situation. The reading and meditating I have done on the quality of detachment in the writings of the Baha'i Faith, has paid off in helping me to see the discomfort I feel as being separate from my attitude and happiness. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I let it affect my attitude, and get discouraged about my health and the pain, but I do know that I am allowing that to happen. I can be happy about life, and even feel fortunate for the life I have, even while in pain or exhausted (okay I'll admit, less successfully when I'm exhausted than when I'm in pain) I have noticed a number of others with Fibro that seem to have this ability, and it makes me glad for them. Maybe people who have to deal with constant difficulty are more likely to disallow it to disrupt their life and their happiness than those who haven't experienced much discomfort in their life? Sorry to ramble, but I think the mental and spiritual aspect to this condition are very key, and think it would be interesting to discuss the causes of it also from the mental and emotional aspects, because I have noticed a lot of people with it have had similar mental and emotional trauma in their lives...I'm sure not all, but quite a number I have talked to. Once again, sorry to ramble, if anyone is interested in discussing this, on or off this forum, I'd be glad to hear from you. Hoping everyone is enjoying spring/summer weather!
