Hi All,

The American Lecithin Company lists a whole series of lecithins with an HLB

range of 2.0 - 12.0. The ones that Maurice mentioned above are some of the

ones that can be used in personal care applications. Another one is Aquasperse A

with an HLB of 12. I have some samples of these, but have only played with

them a bit. I tried a couple of these a few months back when I was trying to

help Chris---lecithin was on his list of approved ingredients. One thing I

noticed about the Aquasperse is that the feel of this product is excellent---I

was

quite impressed with the soft and conditioned afterfeel.

I haven't done enough to offer any assistance with formulating though.

Perhaps others have played with these?

Angie

PS It's getting close to time for us to consider some new emulsifiers for

late summer/fall, so this could be a possibility.
