Guest guest
It looks like we might be facing the second band debate ourselves pretty quick. got her band on 10/13, and today CT told me that she only has 2-3 weeks left it in before she outgrows it. Charlotte also told me that whatever facial asymmetry is left when she finishes the band will most likely NOT correct on its own. I'm supposed to make an appt. with the doc who prescribed the band to get his opinion on a second band. Aetna most likely won't pay for a second band, but if the doc thinks we'll get more correction, we'll probably pay for it ourselves. I can't believe we're already facing this decision. Time sure has flown. Becky & (5/4/00, banded since 10/13/00) Plano, TX
Guest guest
Tami - I'm glad your doctors finally figured it out that you had psoriasis. My son has been dx with p by one doc and eczema by another. That is frustrating. Grant went on MTX about a year ago and hasn't had any psoriasis (or eczema?) since! It is great to see clear skin on him. Hope the MTX does the same for you! & Grant (11, PsA/Uveitis)
Guest guest
Hmmm glad you got a diagnosis... I have been on Methotrexate almost a year. I was so afraid of it.. They started me out very slow, probably three pills. Then in six weeks upped it again. Now I am on six. What I do is took half a dose of what was prescribed and within 15hours as my rheumy told me took the rest. Lots of people do it this way. I take mine at night so if there are any side effects I'm sleeping. Yes for a little while it did make me tired the next day, but now I'm used to it. Hope this helps.
