Guest guest
, The differences lie in the denaturants used in the various alcohols. SDA 40 uses combinations of t-Butyl alcohol, Brucine Sulfate or Brucine Alkaloid or Denatonium Benzoate. The hardware store product may contain methanol or any other of a number of denaturants specified in 27CFR. I would suggest that you look at 27CFR to learn the differences in the various denatured alcohols and the authorized uses for each blend. Young KY Labs Innovators of Fine Personal Care Products www.kylabs.com denatured alcohol vs. perfumers alcohol Can anyone explain to me the difference between a product simply labeled denatured alcohol, which I picked up today in a retail home improvement store, and a product called perfumers alcohol, or SD40-B 200 proof, that I can also buy but it is a real pain to drive to get it and can't/won't be shipped. Can I use either interchangebly in a linen spray, which is all I really want it for? Also, in a spray which is composed partially of denat. Alcohol, which is see for sale everywhere, is there any kind of safety issue with shipping it to customers that I need to be aware of? I am trying to use this to achieve a clear linen spray that would emulsify the fragrance completely. Thanks,

BTW when you post again will you please edit out most of the attached emails. In addition to the post I am answering there were two complete emails attached with all the Yahoo advertising. Hopefully everyone saw my post about this the other day and will make an effort to conform to list rules. Pat. Peace, Joy, Serenity House of Scents tm.
